Good evening fellow poster.
NS has a problem. Too many people are no longer able to see beyond the bickering, and remember that this is, ultimately, a game we all play for fun. Players now sit in armed camps, firing snide remarks at each, proposing condemnation and counter-condemnation, and are ever increasingly turning elements of this game into rather unwelcoming places to be. Some sections of this community have it worse than others.
Take, for example, the invader faction of gameplay. They are characterised as leering, baby eating monsters, who would as soon stab you in the back as say hello. They come in for endless mockery and scorn for, ultimately, having simply chosen to play this game as it was made. They are one side of a coin, and without them a significant portion of this game - and it is a game - could not exist. Do the truly deserve such inhumane treatment? Are invaders not players too?
Some of us think they are. I certainly do. I count several invaders among my friends on NS, despite being a defender. And yet there are people out there who simply will not talk to an invader, and will even expel a nation from their region for doing so. I can't help but think that some people need to be reminded of the basic truth, that invaders are just like us; they're playing a game.
So I decided to do something. I chose to form PETI.
Players for the Ethical Treatment of Invaders (PETI) is a defender run invader rights organization based out of the Eastern Islands of Dharma, and led by myself. We are a non-profit region with zero employees and at present five members and supporters - four of us defenders. We are already the largest invader rights group in the world. Our slogan is "Invaders are not ours to ban, mock, flirt with, or use for entertainment."
I ask you all, to remember that NS is indeed a game, and support invaders today, by signing the PETI pledge on our RMB.

Oh, Bel, Unibot's going to
