How to see newly created nations

Postby Dwaseria » Tue Jun 07, 2011 4:58 am

Hi,
When i was chosen delegate for my region i decided to start sending welcome telegrams to newly created nations like most delegates do.
I only have one problem though, I don't know what nations have just been created. I mean, when i created my nation i got a telegram like, 2 seconds after my country was founded.
How do they do that? Where do they see all the newly created nation?

I would strongly suggest not. If only because that kind of activity, if reported to the mods, will result in warnings etc. levied against you.
Fuck it all. Let the world burn - there's no way roaches could do a worse job of being decent than we have.

I sent like 2 of those then realised they did nothing and gave up.

Then I sat back and watched my region grow by 466% in a month without the help of TGs. I guess we're just awesome like that.
Removing the text from people's sigs doesn't make it any less true. I stand with Yalta.

you are allowed to telegram to a nation when advertising your region but only if the nation that you are in a region like the east pacific.

Or other feeders, eg. the Pacifics (and, AFAIK, Lazarus and Rejected Realms). New nations are created into one of the pacific regions.

Nations that have already moved to a region probably did so because they like it there, so don't bother them. It's bloody annoying.

If you must spam, make sure you do so within the rules. Some of us hate it and will make sure you get reported if you step a mm over the line.

1) Be careful to spam only nations in those regions.
2) Be careful that you're not spamming nations that have already moved on to userite regions.
3) Better yet, just don't spam at all.

If you'd posted this in Gameplay rather than General, you wouldn't have got so many unhelpful replies. Ignore most of what has been written above, and pay attention to this. These are the actual rules on AdSpam:
One Stop Rules Shop wrote:AdSpam: Spamming other people's regional messageboards (RMB) with adverts for your region. The only places where you are allowed to put advertisements are:

* the Gameplay Forum (they will be deleted if posted elsewhere, as being polite hasn't worked),
* The regional messageboards of the game-created regions
o Feeder regions, defined as The Pacific, The North Pacific, The East Pacific, The South Pacific, and The West Pacific. Note that it is not legal to advertise in copycat regions like "West Pacific",
o The Rejected Realms and Lazarus,
o Official Warzones.
And even then, don't over-do it. One ad per advertised region (NOT per posting nation) in any 24-hour period is the rule. Don't post if an ad for your region is still displayed (even if suppressed) on the first page of the RMB, even if it's been more than 24 hours.
* Recruitment telegrams may be sent to residents of game-created regions. No 24-hour rule here - one per nation, period.
* Sending unsolicited recruitment telegrams to nations outside of game-created regions is not permitted.
* RMB Ads are allowed in player-created regions if World Factbook Entry says they're allowed or if the region has the "Recruiter Friendly" tag. Whomever controls the WFE and tags may set regional policy towards ads.

Further advice on growing a region can be found here.

When I created my nation, I received 13 - yes, thirteen - telegrams within about an hour. Of those, I opened one, saw it was recruitment spam, immediately deleted 12 of them and kept one. The one that survived simply said hello, welcomed me and invited me to consider dropping in on his region if I was interested.

No button, no pushy spam crap, just a single link to the region so I could make my own mind up. Now THAT was a friendly welcome.
