How to Boost Political Freedoms?

Postby Beldonia » Tue Mar 08, 2011 8:14 pm

I used to be an inoffensive centrist democracy, but I decided that fringe candidates pissed me off and to do away with small parties. Thus, I became a father knows best state. :o But then, I boosted industry and became a cumpulsory consumerist state! :o I want to be a straight democracy again! How can I do it? I know I need to boost political freedoms, so how can I boost them in the average issue?

You must wait until the correct issue(s) turns up, and then choose the one(s) that guides your nation in the desired direction. If you allow yourself to answer two issues daily (through your settings), you will reach the wanted result twice as fast.
"Send forth all legions! Do not stop the attack until the city is taken! Slay them all!"
>Can I invade other people's regions?

Yes. The practice of "region crashing," where a group of nations all move to a region with the aim of seizing the WA Delegate position, is part of the game. Certain groups within NationStates are particularly adroit at this, and can attack very quickly.
>Once I've taken over a region, can I eject everyone else?

You can try. Invader Delegates tend to have very little Regional Influence, which makes ejecting long-time residents difficult. But Delegates can be as kind, generous, evil, or despotic as they wish. It's up to regional residents to elect good Delegates.

You should get the right issue sometime, as Cinistra said. :)
