The city is easier to get to though, all public transportation goes there.

It's kinda hellish by car, though, at least from what I've seen.

I'm willing to meet up with my fellow Dutchies, and even Belgians, Germans and perhaps a Brit or two that got lost while swimming in the sea. But I'm not going to register on a 3rd party site just for this one single meetup thingy. Though I'm very much interested to come to the 'Utrecht' meetup.

Ballotonia, considering that you're already registered, can you relay the info to the dutch offsite forum. Some people might read that rather than the on-site forum :p

Do I have to sign up? I hate offline forums. I really don't want to join. But if I have to...

It's not an offsite forum. It's a map thingie with location information. There's an opt-out button regarding email from your community, so it doesn't need to be more than an occasional visit (or one-time, if you like). This appears to be a pretty much zero-maintenance site.

That is even worse. Unless I'm not understanding correctly, I will be giving away my location.

There will be a stickpin in a map somewhere near your town, as viewed from orbit. An icon of your choice with a name of your choice will show up in the list of people in that town. It's not a friggin' GPS to your house or anything.

I picked a space by the LIRR.

Troll accessible. So probably somewhere near a bridge.

(my best guess is 'train' to be honest)

Except for a good highway system. HOLD ONE IN the Detroit or Lansing Metropolitan area.

Detroit is a tough town.

Would totally go, but alas. I have neither the time, money, nor vehicular automobile. I would also need to get presents for all the mods, just cause. But then again, money.

Anybody else in the Los Angeles area? Prohibition Burger on Ventura Blvd might make for a good place to meet up and hang out, and it's relatively public-transit accessible. (Take the trains to the Red Line to the Orange Line to the Balboa stop, and then you should be able to take one of the regular buses the rest of the way down Balboa and then it's just a few blocks to Ventura/White Oak where the place is.) It's also delicious. And somehow a 1920 mob-themed bar seems like an appropriate place for a Nationstates meetup.

Alternatively, there's Balboa park right next to the Orange line stop- weather permitting that's a great place for some sort of picnic or potluck. Weather in November is a toss up though- might be warm and nice or cold and windy.

I'd go if (a) I were not a minor and (b) the meet ups were not occurring during the 2012 Bands of America Grand National Championships.

If anyone is in deep south texas, I wouldn't mind meeting them in Edinburg or Harlingen. Otherwise I'll probably have to pass.

The dates and times aren't etched in stone. Feel free to suggest alternate times, two weeks from now or two years from now. I'm pretty sure meetup.com doesn't care.

Yeah, I'd say pretty much any of the meetups should require a parent or adult to accompany any underage users, were they to attend.

Well, I'm out right at that.
