What this essentially is is an admission of defenderdoms current inability to protect native communities, after all, how is anyone expected to believe that defenders can protect them when defenders have just taken an action that shows they do not even believe they can protect themselves.
Just some food for thought for any natives reading who think they're at all protected by anything other than raider unity, signing a treaty, or making their delegate nonexec. You aren't, those tasked with that protection can no longer even defend their own.

Dearest Monarch of the Decayed Realm,
Last October, you declared "The longboats are being brought out of drydock and the Jomsvikings are sharpening their axes," in announcing Balder's first ever war.
I reply to ask, how long does that take again? Surely your boats must be floating and your blades honed by now. It has been seven months!
It reached my ears that you hired, then fired, a mercenary general to aid this process. Do you require advice on another hire? I have a former Jomsviking or two here in the Brotherhood that may be able to assist with doing, well, anything at all.
Does "FRAM" stand for Failure, Reluctance, Apathy, and Meekness?
You promised your decision was serious. The record since demonstrates anything but.
Best wishes in turning things around,
The Ever-Wanderer
Dearest Europeia,
I'd like to commend the prescience of your Cabinet member Westinor. She recognized early on that war is not a means to an end nor a promise for more. That declaring war will not suddenly stop Malice, and that waiting for consequences without action means waiting perpetually. That standing by without devotion to the cause will lead to a futile effort with these strength of words in the wind. That the citizens of Europeia will have to stand up and fight to achieve victory in their "greater cause." That all will not matter if they do not fight in the battlefield of update.
Westinor was right. And don't try to deflect with some comment about sanctions - can you honestly even begin to claim that, between the Brotherhood and Europeia, the one whose affairs and relations have degraded seven months later, is the Brotherhood?
You should go back and read Westinor's words, and next time we're burning native fields, consider jumping more than once.
We’ll be waiting.
My dear North,
I'm disappointed to see that Kaschovia's promise to carry the war "through until the end" actually referred to the end of his term, and not the end of the war.
You promised back then that you would never be discouraged and that you'd "never let our allies suffer at their discretion without consequence." Any yet your elections debate whether the war is even winnable and worth continuing, while your allies suffer monthly, and the best consequences you can imagine are "raiding a warzone, again" and "expanding the sanctions which primarily result in storming out of other regions' events in a huff after they refuse to comply."
I'll give you the small credit that you do perform slightly better than most of your peers - The North fought, if ineffectually, longer than anyone else did in Eclipsis, and strives more than most to counter our tags. But it doesn't seem to be doing much to stop us from having our way with the world.
As another delegate becomes a footnote and we remain on top of Gameplay with another refound in our pocket, I encourage you to add some fuel to that flame you laud.
You were right about one other thing: fighting you is not the same thing as slinging mud and taunting you in gameplay; it actually involves rather less work than that!!
The only thing less effective than your restraint has been your engagement. The ineffectualness of your actions for the past two years defies reason and places your credibility into disrepute. Our irredeemable barbarism remains unimpeded and our hijinks unfoiled.
Please consider more drastic action. I could use the challenge.
