You seem to forget that players in NS are not judged on what they say they are or what part of the political spectrum their nations lie on but on the actions they take. And in that case you have been found wanting.

Now listen up, BBD!
Before the demise of Vristic, I had posted those words in my region’s RMB:
“Bhang Bhang Duc is watching our every move”
You had objected to it. And when you did, I provided clear, to-the-point explanation for writing the above.
This was an administrator of a much smaller and less influential region than yours. So, why are you—an administrator of a large, glorious region— shying from facing facts squarely? Why you shying from revealing what causes you to hate Vrindi? Stop throwing the fame of your region into dustbin by neglecting an issue that affects a collection of players, and give to-the-point answer to me: Why do you hate Vrindi?

A superabundance of time is evidently a characteristic trait of all R/Ders! I can't fathom why the hell a person would be bothered enough to squander away elusive old Father Time just to monitor a region's usual update time, gather and coordinate with a horde of other people, ruminate over plans and backups, stumble to stare at the activity page before every update, all for a fucking old browser game! I am occupied elsewhere during both of the update times: one with sleep, and the other with studying. I can't be arsed to keep visiting the activity page during every update, as any Frontier must do to watch out for funny business before its too late. Even Vristic's ex-Delegate was inactive for a few days due to exams, and returned to a wreckage of a region.
Any sensible busy bloke would just be in a Stronghold, visit once in a while, have a few friends for company, and fulfill his impish proclivities on the forum instead.Arcticfrost wrote:Now listen up, BBD! [...] Why do you hate Vrindi?
As pointed out earlier, Bhang Bhang Duc is a proponent of excessive sucking up to Moderation, and hence dislikes Vrindi due to, among other things, his insufficient sucking up to Moderation. Just a little more sucking up would have instantly transmuted the hate into profound admiration.''

I can only wonder why so many people are engaging in this bootless attempt to seek some kind of morally justified "reason" behind the invasion, or worse, requesting the invaders to "return" the region. Do you believe this can possibly bear fruit? This foolish "R/D game" of NationStates somewhat aptly resembles the real world inasmuch as both run on the sophisticated(/s) philosophy of "might makes right". Destroying a region of ~150 members (most of whom had no knowledge of the RO's offsite conduct) due to the shameful behaviour of a couple of RO's is analogous to a country bombing a city of regular Joes due to the actions of their leaders. It's an unscrupulous thing to do, and behind all the pompous "justifications" provided, the underlying reason is mostly just "because we wanted to, and because we could". They don't care, and will stay unwavering in their action, so pleading and fawning with such an entity is obviously going to be futile.
Countries, both real and virtual, should look to strengthen their various facets rather than relying on the "morality" of their attackers. While of course this is very difficult for a real country, for a virtual country not so much. But requesting your invaders to have mercy and "return" your region is invariably a foolish strategy.

If that was directed at me, I must clarify that I'm not accusing BBD of the raid, but I'm just ribbing, which is good if he enjoys it, and if he doesn't, better!

Coordinating a raid really isn't all that. It takes like 5 minutes max to set up tools to automate triggers for jumping on your target, and one ping to your trusted updaters to get em ready to rumble - and then you get the bonus of spending time with friends, usually shitposting and memeing until jump time.

Well, what about the Frontier natives? They'd have to keep an eye on their activity page during every update. If they only happen to check later, it may be too late. But it's possible they may be sleeping or working or something else during update time.

I understand that "difference-in-kind" and "difference-in-degree" are too, well, different things, but if Starlight/Horizon and Talonia's behavior is comparable to a real world atrocity, report Kirin to the Hague.
