it's a little on the nose. maybe do an actual flag, just incorporate gold bars into the coat of arms?

I don't know if it fits with your lore, but colour wise I would suggest flipping the white and yellow stripes.

I already tried to flip them and that way the flag feels "too heavy" to me.

I've been thinking about redoing my flag for quite some time now,as i feel like this one doesn't look that great and it somewhat fails at delivering the whole idea of representing a confederation.
The best i was able to create was this one, with the coat of arms sitting at the center and some yellow and red bars on the sides so that it doesn't look too much like an EU ripoff.
Y'all think this looks better than my current one? Any suggestions on how to improve it more? Any help or advice is greatly appreciated

Yeah your color scheme looks better,but i feel like you made the stars too slim and that the width i've chosen seems better. I will consider your suggestions,thanks for the help

I wouldn't. It is a good simple recognisable design as it stands. Don't feel you need to add something just because of the many cluttered flags out there,

If you really feel you must , then I would suggest a small symbol in the top left (mnatching the colour of the central pyramid) would be better than in the centre.

So I finally made a Nordic cross-style flag for Magna-Parva that I like.
What do you think? Is the crest simple enough to work without looking excessively cluttered? Does the colour scheme look OK?

For this one, i would suggest a bluer blue, and possibly a lighter gold.
The symbol is good. but I think it does not sit well over the cross, Ad above, you could try it in the top left.

Two things.

Is my flag/banner okay, and I want my flag/banner to have a “Russian/Eastern Slavic” or “Post-Soviet” or “Highly Militarized” feel to it, so please give constructive criticism on how to make it have that feel.

I am nit a fan of " seal on a bedsheet" designs but yours is well put together, You might consider a narrower red stripe.

Coats of arms are very old-school and monarchist. For a more modern feel, you could take the central cross and inset symbol and use that as the basis for a design.
For the oligarchy, perhaps add a set of circles on the fly.

I want my flag to convey some cruel and proud power, but I think the orange takes away from the harsh red and black. I really like the sun motif I have, as it adds an idea of superiority. I originally wanted it to be an older style like some large empires, but my nation is modern. how can I make it look like an old empire while keeping the idea of a modern military power? any advice?

Tricky.

I don;t think you can mix ancient and modern very easily.
The bird and the dun are good symbols but don;t think they sit well together.
I think a lighter orange would give better contrast.

Im trying to have a totalitarian looking flag, is this good or should I change something about it?

The smaller red star currently looks slightly strange, I would probably either move it to the canton or remove it entirely. I think it's a decent flag already without needing the second star
(oh and I'd increase the contrast of the red maybe)

I used a Crimean Khanate Flag as a base for my new flag, do i change anything? It looks a little too simple.
