honestly this operation was kinda amazing (and eye-opening for one). we've long thought this sort of operation was virtually impossible (though i think several of us have thought of the possibility of sleeper agents), and to actually pull it off is kind of crazy.

Just one problem... the doggo wasn't meant for Malice. not really how raiderdom works, raiding other raiders would be a pretty major violation of raider unity, a principle that practically every raider region obeys. also, raider regions understand the game enough to not make the mistakes that causes them to be raidable so like. not really possible to raid say LWU, TBH, or BoM because we all maintain governors and don't leave exec WA del on.

Let it motivate you to join a defending organization, and do your best to return the favor, to make raiders lose.

Because, guess what? We're not going to stop. We're not going to leave anyone alone just because they're "neutral." Sure, as a member of a governed region, you could be safe if your governor hadn't negligently left the delegacy Executive - but if he hadn't? We would have gone elsewhere and ejected other people instead. Perhaps one of your allies, even.

Raiders only respect 3 things:
-Other Raiders
-Pacts, treaties, and other bindings to Raiding
-Regions that have mechanically rendered themselves inviable to raid

Neutrality is not on that list. Peaceful regions are not on that list. Raiders are, so no, we're not going to raid other raiders (who typically also, mind you, make their regions mechanically unraidable!).

While the NPO hasn't exactly treated with Raiders recently, they've also pointedly refrained from engaging in escalatory measures - and ergo so have raiders with them. Even if we were out to get the NPO in 2024, bugging a region an ancient-ass retired notable from their region sits as absent founder of, wouldn't exactly be a very direct or notable way to do so.

Europe was, via founder neglect, raidable on a massive scale. It's a TNP treaty ally in an era where TNP has co-led the sanctioning and debadging of raiders. It's participated in that effort as part of WALL, and been generally annoying about WA campaigning in general. That's plenty reason enough.

Regarding said neglect: there's no other term to call "having an executive delegate and allowing any schmuck to walk in and accumulate both 100k influence and 20 endos less than the delegate."

That's EuroFounder's fuckup (in the Executive setting), and Europe's government's fuckup (in no Endo Gap and failure to keep a skeptic eye on endorsement gathering), but it is also a failure on TNP's part.

Kaschovia, campaigning, detailed how TNP aims to secure allies from side effects of their wars (quoted below). While doing so, either out of incompetence or a lazy assumption that Europe was safe because Europe was large, they utterly failed to nudge you to correct this negligent security gap, despite months of attacks on other Treaty allies (including the prior use of a sleeper to close an Endo Gap and tag a region, in IDU, which is actually the exact event that spawned a question which Kasch's quote is replying to). If TNP's defense ministry was worth their salt, they should have warned you about this vulnerability ... Unless they did, and your government ignored it? The end result is the same: a frankly fairly predictable attack halved Europe's population by exploiting a negligent security setting that Wasc was willing to bet no one relevant would notice or correct for months. A bet she won.

Mitigating fallout from the war on smaller allies begins with assessing the security of those regions and preparing well for the eventualities in which they are affected or that they are raided. We find out how many our enemies would need in numbers to present a serious threat in the face of allied military counteraction, how many native endorsements already exist on their delegate to provide additional security, and what those regions would need from us in that scenario, so that in the event that one of them is attacked, we'll then be aware of the relevant and necessary parameters to call in appropriate allied and domestic military support as well as supporting SC resolutions to protect them through injunctions and liberations. This is standard practice currently and I would say all of our smaller allies are currently safe from serious military threats.

Honestly, the raid was insane. It was funny when it was a fox themed thing turned dog mascot. I still see it pinned on Sparkalia’s WFE. But was the raid short-term or long-term, srsly?
Edit: Also EF practically told us that he expects that we’ll be raided again but we can rebuild in a few days, since I guess we’re an established region.
