You hear these things happen to other regions, in far away parts of NationStates, but you never think it could happen to you. You might think you are prepared for it, I mean, everyone thinks they are; but let me tell you something, you aren´t. You can never be prepared for it.

I remember when it happened to me... It was the worst day of my life. I couldn´t get over the shock. I was left there thinking: "What kind of monster would do something like this? What is happening to this world where your flag can never be safe?" I don´t want my children to grow up like this; always scared, always looking ouf for their region´s flag. We all have been in therapy since, but I am still not able to think of that day without assuming fetal position underneath my bed.

There are some acts of theft so brazen and unforgivable which would, in the eyes of Europeia, warrant a condemnation for the thief in question. While many of the victim statements given here are quite personal, and Europeia does not wish to make light of these pour souls who have suffered at the hands of the Flag Thief, we ask you to think of what damage could be done when the flag of not just a nation, but an entire region is stolen.

The Flag Thief is a swift one indeed. He stole not just one of our flags, but every Europeian flag we had, forcing us to sew more by hand to bring us back to where we were before. I have so many needle holes in my fingers, I can't... it was a harrowing experience, and many Europeians, like me, have perforated fingers, where once they were silky smooth and well-cared for. Condemn this man. Condemn him for all time.

When our flag was suddenly taken from us, we were amused and flattered that this Thief loved our flag so much. However much to our dismay, this rotten no-good motherless llama of an un-weasely thief also stole our cheese! OUR CHEESE! He must be condemned for this violation of our sovereignty! How dare he steal our cheese! Oh wait... this is about the flag? Oh well, I suppose we're outraged about that as well, but... OUR CHEESE!!!

I’m now the author of “Condemn Flag Thief”-- it’s a bill to condemn the Flag Thief of NationStates! Flag Thief operates by ‘stealing’ people’s nation flags and using them for a day, it has become a rather beloved tradition since Early 2004. As of 2010, Flag Thief also steals regional flags and site flags. I’ve been drafting this condemnation for the last five months.

“Condemn Flag Thief” is ultimately a humorous take on Flag Thief, because Flag Thief also liked to maintain a façade that what it was doing was malicious and bad – it only seemed fitting to condemn them as such in recognition. Furthermore, Flag Thief has approved this condemnation. Most of this resolution is actually true or stretched to an extremely harsh interpretation for the humor.

Your approval of this resolution is vital to its success, please approve!

I feel like another personal take is needed.

When Flag Thief stole my flag it was terrible. Absolutely terrible. I felt like he hadn't just taken my flag, but, that, somehow, the entire NationStates Community was adversely affected by his flying my flag. It really is just terrible, it really is. We don't know what to do, he claims its been returned, but how am I to know? How is the community to know? It really is terrible, absolutely. It really is terrible that this representation of the community has been cartoonicized and made fun of by this l'il rascal known as Flag Thief, honestly, for the sake of The NationStates Community, FLAG THIEF MUST BE CONDEMNED!
