Exactly, I disapprove of this proposal on those grounds alone. And so what if young children have a compulsory college level education, they might be smarter than the international average, did anyone actually think of that? No.
We have seen numerous displays of the kinds of "language skills" and "scientific expertise" which are taught in Kalasparata. PLEASE! WON'T SOMEONE THINK OF THE CHILDREN!!!

Leave it be. Kalaspata is clearly a misunderstood nation. This nation has light-hearted easy-going citizens, much like their government.

That's one condemnation and two commendations, actually.

Eh? The first is Lowell Leber's condemnation, the second a backhanded commendation by Scalietti, and the third a re-draft of the commendation so that it's a condemnation.

Anyhow, a look at the current level of approvals for this proposal suggests that unless the author puts a lot of effort into lobbying over the next 32 hours, it's unlikely to make it to vote.

Our nation is split as to whether we agree with the,(the opposed [CC]have expressed their opinion here already) Condemnation. This split is controversial as on general principle we steer clear of the Security Council and tend to abstain. However, many members,(a wafer thin majority) feel strongly about this and wish to express their disgust of Kalasparta here:

We the workers, believe that Kalaspata's crimes against our fellow brothers are too horrific to overlook, we deplore delegates to approve this resolution. If this reaches quorum, we are forced to vote for this Condemnation.

They have great civil rights and great political rights. I see no evidence that they are an insane nation.

Like I said, lets revise this puppy and send it out again in a week. I'm positive it can get to vote then.

The Cyrupean WA Office, did you conduct a proposal campaign? If you did not and don't know how to.. check out this guide or the slightly adbridged version.

Honestly Unibot, I wanted this one just to go about on its own little merry way so I can fix the errors and resubmit it. While I realize that I could have had a GM remove it for me, I felt it was best to at least give the proposal a fighting try. I was a little unsure of how to conduct a proposal campaign but now I know how to do it completely thanks to your guide(s). I'll further edit the proposal and have a considerably better draft up sometime later today for review.

We probably can get it to vote. I'll just have to work a little harder to make it actually get to that point where it can be voted upon. We were very close this time, and that was without any major campaigning. I honestly thank those who did approve the proposal this first time around and I hope most if not all of them come back for round two.

Well, whenever you resubmit, we will approve. So you have at least 1 guaranteed approval. ;)

A second draft has been posted on the OP. Minor tweaks made it a little bit more accurate than it was last time around and I've fixed all the "It's its not it's" errors. I switched over to bullet points instead of lettering and reworded some things to make it more appropriate for submission. I'll continue to add onto it based on suggestions and more things I research until I resubmit it in a few days.

I agree with all the points excepting for:

• Providing young children with a mandatory education that is considered to be of college level in most countries

This might be good, improving the Kalasparatan people's opportunities. I'm contemplating putting a level similar to this.
• Planning to send dogs in a so-called "light-speed" rocket down a planned five to eight kilometer deep hole into the Planet Earth to see if it would be safe to send researchers,

This is a scientific development, perhaps to confirm tectonic plaques or perhaps to find effects of deep pressure and underground digging on mechanism and people.

You should eliminate those, because they would fit better in a commendation than a condemnation. Besides that, this would be a perfect condemnation.

I've removed the college-level education section as it seems the majority of delegates and potential voters feel that would be more worthy of a commendation than a condemnation. As for the research and animal cruelty section, I'll leave it for now as I've gotten mixed views from it. I certainly see where you are coming from with it and I'll take it into consideration.

I'd see the first as condemnation worthy; It is more or less setting children up for failure as they most likely will not be able to comprehend the work.
((OOC: And were he to say "Oh all our children are able to understand it", then I'd consider it metagaming.))

I say that we also put something up on II to show our discontent. Perhaps place sanctions on the nation immediately.

Thank you very much Floor, Grays and Osthia. We're already doing considerably better this time around, having eight (at the time of posting) approvals within the first hour versus less than four. This wouldn't be possible without awesome delegates!

As for putting sanctions on Kalasparata, well go ahead and do that but don't expect very positive results. I'm pretty sure that has tried and failed numerous times.
