Those links involve countries doing things that they can't actually do, "Canada says".. "France discusses"... "America admits defeat" (

) ...its a popular way of referring to the ambassador... to refer to his country instead.

I dunno... It doesn't seem ENTIRELY implausible that countries could agree on something. Besides, Cat-Tribe rules. We can't overlook silly politics for just a second to commend him?

That would be a little disrepectful to TCT, to not give it my all to make sure the WA commends TCT without all of the roleplay jazz added... the point of R4 is to equivocate so that it can make sense to both GP/RPers .. I want make sure we honor that and actually write resolutions that equivocate. Using the ambassadors-trick isn't equivocating, it's straight roleplaying.

The Cat-Tribe is a gentleman, a scholar and a good judge of bad whiskey. I can confer on him no greater honour. I can confer on him lesser honours though; he is one of the few members of the WA I refer to as "revered ambassador".

TCT is honestly the best debater I have ever seen, and I've seen a lot of them; as captain of my school's debating team, I've debated with former national champions of all-Ireland schools debating competitions, I'm a veteran of the European Youth Parliament and the Mock European Union, my English teacher used to debate with Dara O'Briain, my friend judged the World Universities Debating Championships in Botswana, etc.

TCT embodies the best trait that a debater can have; reason. However, unlike most debaters, he embodies it twofold, by being both the most rational and the most reasonable debater in the WA. As well as putting forward well-reasoned arguments, he is also more than willing to concede a point when proved wrong, a point of etiquette that is seriously lacking in this forum.

In short, I have the utmost respect for TCT and cannot support this commendation enough. Ossitania gives its full backing to the righteous and well-earned recognition of one of the WA's greatest nations.

Honoured ambassador, The mentioning of Cat-Tribe's recent work in getting Ms. Harper's abortion compromise passed is credible. However, I must emphasise that the country wasn't the only delegation who have defended the draft. Monghka of Urgench has delivered a strong defence too, as well as Ms. Harper, and ambassadors from Ossitania, Mousebumples, Philimbesi and more.

I'm trying to stay out of this thread on general principle*, but ...

Thank you for the first part, Most Honored Ambassador.

Strongly agreed on the second part. In my opinion, Ms. Harper and others are shortchanged by the current wording.

*Perhaps someone should "Condemn The Cat-Tribe" for being unable to resist lurking or posting when he knows better than to do so and/or is supposed to be on vacation.

Why? There were alot of actors involved in the discussion, but from my observation, TCT was one of the biggest and most consistent contributors to the debate and happens to be the focus of this commendation. Listing everyone who posted in the thread would just be tacky.

The Ambassador of Jedi8246 does not approve of this commendation. He has released the following statement.

We find that though The Cat-Tribe is a strong debater, they have fallen into insulting those that do not agree with them. A strong example of this was on the "On Abortion" bill. We do offer the fact that The Cat-Tribe is a strong debater, however we cannot approve of this since they have insulted fellow ambassador's. We bid you good day and good luck.

Err...insulting fellow ambassadors is really easy to do, especially when it is serves as a political practice to claim your opponent is insulting you, only to distract from the lack of a counter-argument in a debate.
