I think, with an emphasis on think, it's a ban on polygamy and giving people the right to divorce. I'd say it's in the Wrong Category and illegal for Duplicating (or possibly Contradicting, hard to tell when the proposal isn't more comprehensible) GA#39.

Manifest Destiny

A resolution to increase democratic freedoms.

Category: Furtherment of Democracy

Strength: Strong

Proposed by: Lomaner

Description: The Assembled Nations of the World,

AFFIRMING the primacy of popular sovereignty over the sovereignty of a particular state;

SUPPORTING the cause of revolution and intervention in toppling oppressive and unjust regimes;

NOTING that the general consensus of the World Assembly is to condemn the invasion of or intervention in a particular region;

ACKNOWLEDGING that the ultimate goal of international engagement is to establish a set of principles by which all humanity will be governed justly;

HEREBY:

1) COMMANDS that invasions and political developments by interest groups that are attempting to topple autocratic regimes are not impeded by sanctions or international condemnation;

2) MANDATES the World Assembly to take direct and concrete action to stamp out authoritarian and illiberal practice within its ranks;

3) COMMENDS nations that engage in activity to liberate or protect regions under threat of extremism and oppression;

4) RECOMMENDS that further action is taken to dismantle or reform international groupings that encourage or practice oppression and that these groupings are, in extreme cases, annexed by or taken control of in the interests of their populace;

5) CONCEDES that measures to this effect can be highly disruptive, and that such measures should be authorised or acknowledged by the World Assembly to ensure impartial and fair practice in eliminating tyranny.

This proposal shall therefore be known as Manifest Destiny for professing the enforcement a single international standard law before the sovereignty of nations that are unable to abide by basic standards of human decency.

Seems to me like an Ideological Ban and a breach of WA Neutrality.

Blogposal, in part. But it looks like it wants to permit polygamy. Can someone get in touch with the writer of this, nut out some basics they want if they want to allow polygamy?

Separation of Church and State

A resolution to improve worldwide human and civil rights.

Category: Human Rights
Strength: Strong
Proposed by: Eleutheria

Description: The World Assembly,

AKNOWLEDGING that religion is the cause for much violence and conflict in the world.

AFFIRMING that preferential treatment of a specific religion unfairly discriminates against those of other faiths or those of no faith.

REALISING that this is the cause of further conflict, and is contrary to the human right of the individual to believe in what he/she wants.

CONFIRMING that the Separation of Church and State is the only way to assure the religious freedoms of religious and non-religious minorities.
Hereby:

1. Defines a "Church" as an organisation dedicated to the worship of a religion.

2. Defines a religion as the belief in and worship of a superhuman controlling power, especially a personal God or gods.

3.Demands that no state should subsidise or show any preferential treatment for any individual religion or faith, or indeed to show a preference for theists over atheists.

4.Requires that nations do not bestow constitutional power to those that are ranking members of a Church.

5.Further requires that Heads of State remain strictly non-partisan in religious issues, and are not an official member of a Church or Religion, whilst they may believe what they want in private.

6.Encourages nations to restrict prayer and the wearing of religious symbols to within the home, in order to avoid conflict or prejudicial treatment of believers.
Illegal, Idealogical Ban.

Contradicting what? I don't believe we've ever passed gun control legislation.

Repeal "Nuclear Arms Possession Act"

A resolution to repeal previously passed legislation

Category: Repeal
Resolution: GA#10
Proposed by: Reddevia II

Description: WA General Assembly Resolution #10: Nuclear Arms Possession Act (Category: International Security; Strength: Mild) shall be struck out and rendered null and void.

Argument:
NOTICING that the laws for the carrying of nuclear weaponry are vague.

UNDERSTANDING that nuclear weapons are extremely dangerous tools of destruction, otherwise known as WMDs.

BELIEVING that nations do have the right to self defense, but need more restrictions on carrying them.

NOTING that any nation, whether new or old, with access to WMDs might not be sufficient enough in military to protect the nuclear weapon, yet still request them.

REALIZING that any non-WA nation of significant size which does not have any nuclear warheads may invade WA nations of smaller size and seize said WA-instituted nukes,

FEARING the threat of WMDs being put in the wrong hands, despite the best wishes of the nation,

HEREBY REPEALS GA Resolution # 10, Nuclear Arms Possession. Act
I had no idea that the NAPA authorized the WA to give nations nuclear weapons.

Or to put it another way, illegal, Honest Mistake.

What sarcasm? I do not spot any sarcasm in my comment regarding your post on the attempted repeal of NAPA

GENERAL ASSEMBLY PROPOSAL
ID: grecjango_1330554179

Repeal "Restrictions on Child Labor"
A resolution to repeal previously passed legislation

Category: Repeal | Resolution: GA#4 | Proposed by: Grecjango

Description: WA General Assembly Resolution #4: Restrictions on Child Labor (Category: Human Rights; Strength: Strong) shall be struck out and rendered null and void.

Argument: child labour helps the economy. we at grecjango will ensure the safety of these children. they will get 3 hours each day during work to get an education. this also helps struggling families make more money so they can have better lives.

A point of order lies against this proposal for including new legislation in a repeal.

The Secretariat should let this one slide. I think most of us would be quite content to let this repeal go through if we could count on Grecjango to "ensure the safety" of our children, and provide them 3 hours of schooling each day.

I'm surprised and delighted that Grecjango would be so generous as to provide for the safety and education of every child in the WA! :clap:
