Actually one only has to read about half that number of resolutions, because the list is about 25% Repeals and [therefore] about 25% repealed...

Pain-Capable Protection Act

A resolution to modify universal standards of healthcare.

Category: Health

Area of Effect: Healthcare

Proposed by: West Appledale

Description: Pain-Capable Protection Act

An amendment to current abortion laws. Creating a maximum age for an abortion to take place to insure that no pain takes place during the procedure.

Requires the physician to first determine the probable post-fertilization age of the unborn fetus, or reasonably rely upon such a determination made by another physician, by making inquiries of the pregnant woman and performing such medical examinations and tests as a reasonably prudent physician would consider necessary.

Prohibits the abortion from being performed if the probable post-fertilization age of the unborn fetus is 20 weeks or greater, except: (1) where necessary to save the life of a pregnant woman whose life is endangered by a physical disorder, illness, or injury, excluding psychological or emotional conditions; or (2) where the pregnancy is the result of rape, or the result of incest against a minor, if the rape has been reported at any time prior to the abortion to an appropriate law enforcement agency, or if the incest has been reported at any time prior to the abortion to an appropriate law enforcement agency or to a government agency legally authorized to act on reports of child abuse or neglect. Permits a physician to terminate a pregnancy under such an exception only in the manner that provides the best opportunity for the unborn fetus to survive, unless that manner would pose a greater risk than other available methods would pose of the death or substantial and irreversible physical impairment of a major bodily function, excluding psychological or emotional conditions, of the pregnant woman.

Subjects individuals who violate this Act to a fine, imprisonment for not more than five years, or both. Bars prosecution of a woman upon whom an abortion is performed in violation of this Act for violating or conspiring to violate this Act.

Defines "abortion" to mean the use or prescription of any instrument, medicine, drug, or any other substance or device to intentionally kill an unborn fetus or to intentionally terminate a pregnancy with an intention other than: (1) after viability, to produce a live birth and preserve the life and health of the fetus; or (2) to remove a dead unborn fetus.

No amendments.

Definition of a Rouge Nation
A resolution to improve world security by boosting police and military budgets.

Category: International Security
Strength: Significant
Proposed by: Greater Gibraltar

Description: Recognizing the need to define a rouge nation

Seeing how this would increase security,

Understanding that it would make it easier for this council to speak with one voice,

Believing in the need to have a clear definition of permitted and non-permitted actions

Appalled by the raider regions who raid "just-for-fun",

This council hereby defines a "rouge nation- level 1"as a nation that is...

1. Not a part of the WA nor in any region actively in the WA

2. Is in a raider region

3. Actively participates in raids against any region.

A rouge nation- level 2 fits all of the above requirements for a level one nation AND

4. Actively coordinates raids and/or leads a raider region

A rouge nation level 3 fits all of the above requirements and is

5. Officially Condemned

Approvals: 0
Status: Lacking Support (requires 76 more approvals)
Voting Ends: in 3 days 2 hours

Meta-gaming, no effect on member nations (and hence incorrect Strength), offensive to all non-WA nations...

International Nature Parks

A resolution to increase the quality of the world's environment, at the expense of industry.

Category: Environmental

Industry Affected: Automotive

Proposed by: Crna Gorky

Description: The world is becoming a barren wasteland. I should know due to Crna Gorkies mass stockpile of raw materials forests are being chopped down our national animal the gorky is endangered. The few remaing ones are roaming the barren wastelands. That I hope will change with the entactment of International nature parks.

Section I:
All natural features of the world will become protected areas for animals and plants. Hunting the animals in the parks will result in a five hundred dollar fine or a maxium of five years in prison.

Section II:
An international organization will be formed to administer and protect these parks. The organizaton will have its own police force to protect the parks. If any crime is commited in the parks the suspect will be tried in the internation court of nature based in Crna Gorky. The organization will have its own judical branch. The WA will pass laws administering the parks.

Section III:
The parks will charge a 1 dollar admision for adults and .50 cents for kids. These revenues will be used to fund the police force. If losing money the parks will abolish one of its parks and mine the resources under it to sell and keep the other parks running.

Branding, WA police, RL reference for "dollars", failure at choosing an "industry affected", meta-gaming for requiring the WA nations to administer the oarks, game mechanics i believe for mandating amendments to this be passed.

Legalize LGBTQ Marriage

A resolution to improve worldwide human and civil rights.

Category: Human Rights

Strength: Strong

Proposed by: Vardona

Description: Members of the World Assembly, it is time to rise up and defeat discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender. Our first step is to legalize same-sex marriage for LGBTQ citizens.

RECOGNIZING that religious freedoms are important to the civil rights of each individual.

APPALLED that individuals of a religion antagonize a specific group of people, yet those same people discriminated against affiliate with the religious faith.

IMPLORING member nations to take a step forward and acknowledge that the right to marry should be granted to all citizens regardless of sexual orientation or gender.

REALIZING that it is not against religious freedoms if a LGBTQ member of a religious faith seeks marriage in his/her place of worship, only an increase of freedom.

HEREBY legalizes same-sex marriage in all World Assembly member nations, for the betterment of society.

Approvals: 2 (Vardona, Lubti Islands)

Status: Lacking Support (requires 74 more approvals)

Voting Ends: in 3 days 8 hours

FoMA was repealed because, it was argued, it was duplicative of CoCR. So... is this duplicative of CoCR then? Seems to be the case.

Renunciation of Free Trade
A resolution to reduce barriers to free trade and commerce.

Category: Free Trade
Strength: Strong
Proposed by: Peoples Republic of Greater Glasgow

Description: We, the People's Republic of Greater Glasgow, presume that no trade can be considered free unless it is also fair.
This presumption is well-grounded in the fact that man can be fairly free but never freely fair.
With this in mind, we propose therefore that free trade be henceforth referred to as fair trade.
We would also appreciate other nations within this truly august body being fair with their resources, fair with their money and, most importantly, free with their women.
We think this is only fair.

Approvals: 0
Status: Lacking Support (requires 75 more approvals)
Voting Ends: in 3 days 3 hours

Red Zone Political Freedom

A resolution to improve worldwide human and civil rights.

Strength: Strong

Proposed by: The Congressional Exiles and Computers

Description: As all my fellow sensible delegates would know, this world would be useless without political freedom, which means the freedom of the citizens of a country to choose how they are to be governed, and with that comes some form of democracy. So, onto the point: Red Zone Political Freedom Countries should be denied the right to becoming economic powers, thus it is now time to pose sanctions on the developing 'Red Zone' nations, and stop their rise, and encourage their becoming of democratic and hopefully, free states.

International Security Act

A resolution to improve world security by boosting police and military budgets.

Category: International Security

Strength: Mild

Proposed by: Rismal

Description: Dear WA leaders,

There seems to be a lot of nations combating crime, and no capabilities to eliminate said crimes.

Also a lot of nations don't have a standing arm, and couldn't defend for themselves, if by themselves.

I know that most countries already have bills set in place to do the what I just listed, but some countries are slow to develop.

This is some reasons why such countries don't have security:
-They just started up their nation, and is fairly new.
-They don't have security as their priorities.
-They don't have proper budget or management put into place
-They are unsure how or when to put security into place

These are just a few ways of how countries don't have security put into place.

That is the problem, we need some sort of international security force. If we don't small nations may crumble under some regime that may take it over, even how unlikely that may be.

Yet also, they have problems on their home front where they cannot deal with crime, and is skyrocketing. Addressing this may solve why some countries cannot grow because of these issues.

So overall, crime can be rampant, and they don't have some means of protection. This could mean possible destruction or downfall of certain countries. Just remember if you can't protect yourself, how can you protect others.

Rambling jibber-jabber. Does nothing.

It is not that I necessarily disagree, but it seems like it would be illegal to me, as its basically making the World Assembly a "World Government" by telling member states how their marriage laws should be written. It also is poorly written, in my opinion, but that is beside the fact.

Legalize LGBTQ Marriage

It is not illegal for anything which you stated. However, it is illegal for duplication. LGBT marriage is already legal in all member nations. The World Assembly being a 'world government' is exactly what it is. The World Assembly does tell people how their laws should be written on certain subjects by superseding all national legislation.
