Elephants are great and all but this just doesn’t really look like it had enough effort put into it for me to approve.

I don’t have a problem resolutions on stuff like animals and food. I feel like if there’s a place for the occasional more casual, fun proposal in the WA it would be the SC. But elephants deserve a bit more than this. I mean it’s just so short and ends so abruptly. Perhaps if it elaborated on those points I would be more willing to vote for, but as it stands now I’m voting against. It’s just not of a high enough quality for me.

I get this is likely an April Fool’s joke, but considering the prior resolutions on potatoes and hippos, it could easily be mistaken for a serious attempt, as was my initial assumption before I looked at the date it was posted.

Waking up on my one and only day off to see this in the SC was great. There's a place in the council, like it or not, for high-quality joke proposals. But they need to be just that, both funny and high-quality. This patently meets neither bar, and I'm excited to see it get pounded into the dirt and waste everyone's time.

Well, there we have it, the World Assembly is simply worried about promoting a politically charged resolution by lobbying for their favorite event faction, while shutting down other joke proposals by claiming "not written in English", "badge-hunting", "poorly done", etc.
Of course the present resolution is bad. But it is the pathological, biased, and exclusive treatment of the WA agenda that is wide open for all to see.
Why don't we face it? The World Assembly has political reasons to keep the Potato resolution up. It has no good reason to exist other than a self-glorifying notion, built exclusively to establish parallel to an in-game event faction. Unfortunately, this kind of behavior is exactly what people learn to expect from the World Assembly: self-glorification, increasingly high-up empowerment, insufficient transparency with disguised intents, and unashamed sidelining of newcomers/outsiders.
