As a representative of Fluxoria, I will vote against this proposal.

Whereas we comprehend the objective of the proposed resolution, we contend that it simplifies the intricate concern of worldwide military spending. Military spending extends beyond war and conflict as it pertains to ensuring the safety and security of a nation's inhabitants. It is imperative for every nation to possess the ability to safeguard itself against plausible threats.

Additionally, the proposed resolution's effort to ensure the entitlement of each member to determine its preferred mode of government may present challenges. Although we uphold the principle of self-determination, we also acknowledge that some governments may not prioritize their citizens' best interests. Under such circumstances, it might be necessary for the international community to take measures to protect human rights and foster democracy.

To summarize, while we support the objective of global disarmament, we maintain that the proposed resolution oversimplifies the issue and could yield inadvertent consequences. We encourage other nations to thoughtfully consider the potential implications prior to casting their votes.
