Simply reading the text, I can see why they're commendable. It seems that the bill lacks a cohesive theme, though, and the nominee's name opens the door for a really compelling "magic" theme being interspersed throughout. While there are a few potential references (though it's difficult to tell if its colorful language being used or an actual reference to the fun name of the nominee), I show you examples such as Commend Pallaith, One Small Island, and even Haiku to a certain extent, which really take an underlying theme (respectively, ghouls, the beach/island, and poetry, of course) and enhance the bill through its inclusion. I'm not proposing you add a whole lot of new content, but adding something to similar lengths as the examples given (obviously Haiku went more than the other two, but I hope what I'm saying is clear) could really take this bill to the next level.
I don't really think this is necessary. It would look distracting and contrived in my opinion, especially since these references would all have to be crammed into the current text. Given that the proposal does capture the nominee's personality well I don't see the need for some flowery themes
That’s fair enough. I don’t know if I’ve ever actually spoken to the nominee, and thus am not super familiar with their personality. While I think it couldn’t hurt, if those who know the nominee believe it inappropriate, their opinion on the matter trumps mine.
