"The Community of Lakeside Valley votes FOR. SC and GA are both in the WA, and we see no need to recognize either further. Redundant resolutions serve no purpose other than hindering actual progress."

I'm a little confused here. So...if this fails...you'll attempt at yet another repeal?

I plan to. I still think this draft can be improved, and I think I have improved it. I might take a little break though.

Understood however around 4000 more people have said no to this resolution (as of now) than yes. You really think in another attempt you could pull it over the finish line?

I'm just curious here.

I believe so. Also, that number is completely incorrect. You fail to take into account the fact that delegates matter more than regular WA nations. In reality, it's about 1,600. I also believe that with a much better draft I can convince the major delegates to vote for.

Looking at TNP's IFV recommendation, their main problems are removed from my new draft.

Do you mean a new draft that has not been posted yet or the one currently at vote?

How exactly does it hinder progress to have this resolution? This is the SC, not the GA. It's not like this resolution blocks any other resolutions.

You mean "if" your repeal passes. A big IF, given the current vote.

The Representative to the Security Council for The Commonwealth of Burgh Island has issued the following statement regarding the resolution at vote:
Legitimacy is a virtue of inter-governmental institutions and the laws, policies, and officers made within them. The proposed Security Council resolution to repeal "Recognition of the General Assembly" would only harm the legitimacy of the Security Council and the General Assembly.

Because the World Assembly operates under a bi-cameral system, the two bodies work in tandem to justify and bring validation to the World Assembly at large.

For these reasons, we will vote against the Security Council resolution to repeal "Recognition of the General Assembly"

"Though its true that these do not block other resolutions, they do decrease their legitimacy. The SC should only approve of meaningful resolutions. By having a useless resolution, like "Recognition of the General Assembly", we are saying essentially that any resolution can pass, and that the resolutions are not serious nor meaningful. If the useful resolutions are drowned in a sea of meaningless resolutions, their meaningfulness and validity is severely diluted."

That ship has already sunk. We recently passed a resolution establishing the potato as the official food of the WA, we've passed a resolution commending CRABS of the Apocalypse as the greatest nuclear alliance of all time, and we have a resolution declaring that "Hippos are really very large".

Take things a little less seriously, would ya?
