Hello everyone! This proposal is to liberate Realm of the Whispering Winds after it's been seized by an LWU-led occupying force. We have native consent for the proposal given while we were in communication with them about siege efforts.

The Security Council,

Noting Realm of the Whispering Winds (henceforth “the Realm”) as a peaceful region which was once home to a flourishing native community and regional government,

Saddened by the abrupt collapse of Halcyon Nova, the nation that was once Founder and World Assembly Delegate of the Realm, leaving the region’s administration to Jolx as the native Delegate since November of last year,

Abhorred that in the early hours of August 7th 2022, an invading coalition seized the delegacy of the Realm against the wishes of the natives and dismissed the legitimate regional government,

Cognizant that the militaries presently involved in this occupation have long-standing policies celebrating and encouraging region destruction, be it temporary or irreversible,

Recalling with concern the occupations of A Liberal Haven and The Mystical Council, two senselessly destructive invasions led by the same parties involved in the occupation of the Realm, where both regions were subjected to destructive behavior, the latter being completely destroyed, leading to the forced displacement of its population and the loss of its regional history,

Believing that the passage of this Liberation is necessary by the Security Council to ensure this region is spared from permanent destruction by its malignant colonizers,

Hereby liberates Realm of the Whispering Winds.

There was a time when I used to consider ejecting natives specifically for the purpose of broadcasting the raid through a liberation. They weren't so common, once, so getting one submitted, let alone passed, was quite the occasion. Even when we were griefing regions like Asia or ASEAN Region in 2020, defenders waited for days to even submit a proposal for the latter, and only once we'd been ejecting natives for several days. Speaking personally, I am glad to observe times have changed. Apparently our mere presence is now enough to warrant the full attention of the World Assembly - I can take it as naught but a compliment.

Amusingly, we haven't ejected a single native, and I don't believe we had a reason to do so. This seems like an attempt to save face - we leave voluntarily, as we intend, and you claim you heroically prevented the region's destruction, rather than suffering a simple military defeat. Claiming victory by making a symbolic gesture and pointing to it, if you can't win it outright.

The notion that we are there to burn and lock away the region is a little strange; the time it would take would make our intentions clear, and we lack the votes to prevent a liberation. We won TMC, due to defenders' arrogance and through the use of the quorum's mechanics, but if we had wanted to repeat such a thing we would have submitted them immediately, not given you the time to draft and submit liberations as you did with EmbassyRegionia - there is no reason for us not to do so had we wanted to refound. Much like A Liberal Haven's liberation, the actual threat to the region is far away. Much like Asia's attempted liberation, I suspect you'll claim some measure of success based on it. It's a fairly old trick, but it might work.

But more to the point, these same propaganda posts have been calling on people to aid in the "destruction of an enemy of the Bloc" and "secure" the region. Granted, these may just be empty hot-headed propaganda, but there has been transparently pro-griefer rhetoric around this raid.

Regardless of all of that though, we are simply moving forward with native wishes. Our job is to prevent community destruction in conjunction with them, so we're going this route at this time. Though I get your need to satisfy the ego.

Even so, unless the region was openly spouting problematic conservative viewpoints (xenophobia, etc., which I hope evidence of would have been forthcoming by now), merely having the “conservative” tag doesn’t necessarily make a region a valid target. I’m aware that was the justification for certain orgs on the raid.

An embassy exchange with a region that has "conservative" in the name does mean the region adheres to conservative ideology, enough so to warrant real life politically-based raiding against it by good-faith leftists. Could you imagine if they had gone so far as to have a treaty? Gasp!

After the behavior and rhetoric by TCB in places like The Mystical Council (attempting to paint the region as conservatives over a tag/embassy) and EmbassyRegionia (using the no-longer-involved-founder's comments to accuse defenders of defending fash), I don't think anyone believes they're acting in sincere good faith. Do you have any proof that they knew of the region's problematic elements when constructing an embassy? It's pretty bad faith to assume that as the default, as in evaluating the region ourselves everything seemed above board.

As someone who doesn't appreciate bad-faith surface level bullshit, I went and did a bit more research. The post Mira is referencing is here, December 1st, 2018. The Realm's embassy with this region was closed on April 22nd, 2019 (3 years 111 days ago: Embassy closed with Federated States Of Conservative Nations.)

The Antifa raid (or just refound?) on Federated States of Conservative Nations took place in 2020 to "liberate" the region from New Reich of Bunicken. This is different from the style of WFEs usually employed for regions that are point blank raided for being fascist, but I can't find enough to conclude the nature of the Bunicken occupation (if they were let in or not). Regardless, Bunicken's involvement in the region did not come until about December 2019, well after the embassy with the Realm was closed (source). Furthermore, it appears it was refounded away from the original founder by Morrighan in October 2019, before the Bunicken WFE went up, making it seem like the old natives had no involvement in that, but I am not perfectly sure (source).

Unless you have more information to bring up to provide more credence to your implication, I hope you can apologize for attempting to weaponize this out of apparent ignorance, Mira.

Sure, I did base region into this embassy by checking antifa channels and could only find one reference to the region where it was listed alongside fascist regions as a "region approached on closing fascist embassies" I should have done more research than that and I apologize, but it was not meant to weaponize anything and I thought my base research was sufficient.
