Here’s to a swift repeal and no longer proposing rubbish proposals on topics like this that generate pages of vile bigotry as seen in this thread

It is. Weird that Honeydew's response to bigotry is to give bigots what they want.

Funnily enough, my repeal of On Abortion was quiet as fuck.

EDIT: Apparently not, still got to seven pages. Even so, the bigotry turnout wasn't impressive.

If we're going to claim "quietest thread on a controversial subject", I managed to get only two pages in the thread for ATES.

Yep, that's pretty damned quiet.

I find it interesting that this thread has become posting on which of your controversial drafts got the least type of bigotry.

Unfortunately, yes. But bad resolutions in the GA get repealed. This should be no exception. Which is why we should stop passing bad resolutions on these topics (as I had cautioned pages before that this was exactly what was going to happen).

I mean without an adequate replacement uh... no repeal.

I mean you're not providing an adequate replacement so uh... no repeal for you.

Seconded, you're getting another 31 votes against.

Yeah, I support a repeal if the overall legislation was bad and there were still too many errors that needed to be fixed, but only if there was a replacement already in the works to fix those errors and tighten up the areas that needed to be tightened.

I'm never a fan of repealing something just to get rid of the bigots, because lo and behold that repeal will generate more of them, someone will attempt to pass another one if that repeal goes through which will bring them back, and it'll just be a cycle of pass/repeal/pass/repeal/bigots appearing every time. But the idea of stopping or repealing legislation just because we want to avoid those bigots is never a good thing. Bigotry is always going to be a thing we'll have to face on here, and we can either just be completely avoidant of these resolutions and give them what they want and thus support their bigotry, or we can continue pushing bills regardless and push back when they start to get into their behaviors.

Sounds like "an institution designed for the organised education of students by providing learning spaces and environments" to me.

by providing learning spaces and enviroments huh? easy online courses thats another loop holes I would especially advice the loop hole of "punishing hate speech with a $0 fine" because then free speech still exists because then there is no price to pay and as everyone should know free speech is very important the WA can pass evil resolutions all they like but aslong as there are loop holes good nations will be fine

Online courses still provide learning spaces and environments, albeit virtual ones. As to a fine of 0, GAR#2 reads:
Article 9 § Every WA Member State has the duty to carry out in good faith its obligations arising from treaties and other sources of international law, including this World Assembly, and it may not invoke provisions in its constitution or its laws as an excuse for failure to perform this duty.
