Proposal-A-Go-Go... yet again. I had to pull this the first time around after I found out that Issue #1077, about a fictitious TV show called Enemies, was actually called "With Friends Like These..." rather than "With Enemies Like These..."; all nine approvers of that proposal, except Biggonian Megaist Empire, have approved the correct iteration.

The Europeian Ministry of World Assembly Affairs recommends a vote FOR the Security Council Resolution, "Commend Sacara".

Impending support for the resolution, but very PikaThink at how I think the WALL recommendation is trying to compare (supposedly) well-known political stances on abortion and capital punishment to couping a region, with couping being the more egregious one :eyebrow:

Commend Sacara was passed 11,960 votes to 1,845. (86.64% support)

I would like to thank everyone who has reached out and congratulated me on the recent passing of SC #382 "Commend Sacara." There have been far too many people to list everyone who has done so, but I want to make sure to note that your gratitude has not gone unnoticed.

With regards to the proposal itself, I would also like to thank Tinhampton for her amazing work throughout the entire process. She originally approached me a couple of months ago asking if I would give my blessing to the writing of a commendation. I originally was hesitant, as I wasn't sure what I have done rises to the level of commendation. However, after exchanging correspondence with her, I ultimately did give my blessing.

It wasn't the easiest nor quickest of processes. The original proposal that was brought to vote back in December ultimately did not pass, and instead of giving up, Tin was committed to re-writing it. Her determination for ensuring this proposal would pass is extremely admirable. She spent time re-drafting it and even found a co-author, Thousand Branches, to assist her. Throughout the entirety of the process, Tin kept me in the loop and made sure I was okay with the text that was going to be in the proposal.

More importantly, I view this as a win for diversity within the Security Council. A vast majority of the commendations and condemnations passed by this body have been for a nominee's contributions to the gameplay aspect of the website. I'm hoping that moving forward this council starts to recognize countless hours of time and hard work put in by nations contributing to different aspects of NationStates, such as other issue authors, roleplayers, and NS sports. All of these areas work in conjunction with one another to make NationStates such a comprehensive game for all to enjoy.
