Delete this pls. Or change 'Jubilated' to something like 'Jdisappointed'

Serious request

Jaded? Joyless? Jaundiced?

Jaundiced is a great one. I do turn yellow at the thought of declarations like this 8)

Submitted.

The name was changed because as it turns out, no, colons are in fact not allowed. Ah well.

Interesting idea, but this is more suited for... a dispatch. Or a GP thread. Or something that isn't taking up a spot on the WA page for 5 days. No support.

You bugged around 60 delegates in telegrams for this? No support from me, unfortunately. Like Doge Land said, this doesn't fit as a Security Council resolution.

World Assembly authors send telegrams all the time to delegates so they can get approvals, this is not anything new.

Also, I disagree on the argument that this isn't suited for a Security Council proposal. If various international events that were important during the year they happened aren't worth being documented by the WA, then what is? Publishing a dispatch would also be more open to bias by authors, whereas in the WA this effect is minimized.

Voting Against, as it seems not important for the Security Council to consider.

I like the idea of the resolution, but I am not sure of what criteria we are using to determine which reflections are worthwhile.

For example, Farnharmia is referenced as the Best Nation In The World, following the game event, but then there's no mention of Z-Day/N-Day. Would have thought that the feat pulled off by Crabs of the Apocolypse would be worthy of reflection. The deletion of Nazi regions (that was this year, right?) seems also something to be reflected and celebrated, and could even reference SCR#358.

I like this resolution - my suggestion, if this is to be a yearly thing (as I hope it is, honestly) is to create next year's thread on January 1 and have people suggest things to add as they happen, and then submit it at the year's end. Could be a fun community collaboration every year.

The South Pacific's World Assembly Delegation has cast the Coalition's vote FOR this proposed resolution, Reflections on 2021, and warmly encourages fellow member regions to vote FOR.

The at-vote resolution "Reflections On 2021" makes an effort to catalogue some of the significant events of the past calendar year and codify them in a manner that can be a part of the official public record. There are seemingly two major sources of objection to this resolution. First, some criticisms relate to the specific content included in the resolution, with some arguing it was too "gameplay-centric". While one could argue ad nauseum about the specific contents of the resolution, on the whole OWL assessed that the resolution comprehensively analyzed major events. Second, there were criticisms of the idea behind the resolution itself, and specifically the idea that we should do annual "year in review" resolutions. Ultimately, the argument that WA resolutions provide a level of codification above and beyond a normal Dispatch or statement, and that this resolution could then provide an authoritative historical record, prevailed. Thus, the Office of WA Legislation recommends a vote for the at-vote resolution "Reflections On 2021".

Ah yes, the yearly tradition of crying about the Black Hawks and nation invaders. I’m sorry that we pick regions that have pasts of harassment, and that we are the law and Robin Hood of this website. Shame on us lmfao for taking over an inactive region.

The WA is really useless like the irl UN. You can raise tariffs and send in your Bangladesh or Brazilian “peacekeeping troops” who barely know what 1+1 is, but you can’t take our pride. Your attempts to “condem” the black hawks is futile, as we’ve operated for 17 years, and we hope for another 17 more of raiding your asses and watching y’all cry
