I personally voted for this proposal, and as of now it looks like I'm still the only one in the XKI forum vote to do so. Pallaith is an excellent player, and while I don't like commending raider actions the reference to Raidervision is not doing that. Don't get me wrong, still dislike that it's mentioned but I can overlook it.

And in fairness, I fought including it. However, it was agreed that it was a big enough of an achievement that it should've been included it.

And I should also note that the same sort of thing came up with my Commend of Maowi and I pointed this out to Wischland then: I'm not looking to reflexively state support for any ideology and any incidents relating to R/D are both 1) not in my area of expertise (what is? lol) and 2) are meant as ancillary details and not the meat of the commend.

Evidently we can’t mention raiding, because raiding is evil and commendations must be kept pure.

I’ll be honest, from the point of view of somebody who could literally care less about r/d politics despite having been on both sides of the spectrum, I think this is somewhat a silly argument regarding the raidervision clause. From my experience, events like raidervision and the liberty gala have been a time to relax, have fun, and listen to funny music people wrote about this niche subculture in this niche game. It’s the kind of thing that’s totally ooc and just a bunch of folks doing what folks do, have fun! Heck iirc, raidervision is usually open to anyone, at least as far as I remember. I don’t see what’s so wrong with an event that brings people together. I can only imagine it takes a heck of a lotta lotta work to run the thing and helping to do so is certainly good note to throw in a commend. It’s not about r/d, it’s about the leadership ability to bring people together as friends. That would be my take :)
