[FAILED] Commend Testlandia

Recognizing Testlandia as a bastion of peace and neutrality, and as a sagacious and valuable member of antiquity,

Firstly, observing Testlandia's appreciation and commitment to the complexities of freedom in their 2018 protection of Testregionia from art pillagers, and the subsequent liberation of Testregionia,

Secondly, appreciating the nation's internal commitment to personal and economic freedoms, as well as the continued workings of democracy,

Lastly, appreciating the many important written works of Testlandia, read in thousands of nations across the world, including: "N-Day: What You Need to Know," a guide that saved the lives of billions of peoples; "How to Write a Dispatch," one of the world's most read writing guides; and "Table types," an insightful guide to furniture,

Hereby Commends Testlandia.

A C&C should be detailed, giving ample reasons why the nominee should receive the award. This definitely isn’t.

As written, no support.

Testlandia is a nation used by game staff for various purposes: Commending it for its actions might fall under the ban on commending game staff for actions carried out in their official roles.

I should have clarified this is a practice in what can be done, not what should be done. I am proud of this draft because it is not total crap, I do not think it is greatly written or that its nominee is great (or even "real").

Great! I love you!

There's one way to find out if it's legal.

Please do not snip my statements to make up debates.

There is literally no need for this.

And you’ve submitted it. Oh dearie dearie me, that basically sums up your approach.

Well, we did try and train you in TWP - total failure I’m afraid.

It's true, this is why I left The West Pacific, was failing all my classes and they said I couldn't be on the football team anymore, so I ran away to South Pacific where they have much more lenient qualifications for participation in the extracurriculars.

Completely opposed since you've submitted this already.

A typical badge hunt at its finest. Good thing this will go nowhere at warp speed.

I already have the Security Council Resolution Author badge, because I've authored and passed a resolution before... If you read from the top this is pretty obviously not about passage.

I did nothing of the sort. I responded to a specific line of your post because it’s the only point I wanted to respond to. And to say I was “making up debates” doesn’t actually make any sense.

And what happened to that resolution again? Maybe instead of C/Cs you should try writing a declaration instead. They don’t seem to need to be of any high quality.

Then what's the point? Is there a political statement to be had? I can't think of what that would be. At best, this fails to get to queue, and at worst, it's declared illegal. There's no benefit to dying on this hill. You should rescind the submission and start on a different topic.

TWPers: The SC is toxic

The author has already made it clear that they don't intend to pass this, so there is absolutely zero need to keep hounding them like this. There's a difference between being blunt and being mean.

Perhaps they shouldn't have submitted it for the "lols" then.

BBD is an SC regular, and I do happen to pop in every once in a while. If you can find when either of us have ever labeled the SC toxic it’d be very much appreciated.

I was under the impression TUMS knew what they were doing. After all, as they pointed out earlier, they do have an SC authorship badge. It’s hardly like we’re dealing with someone who’s never step foot in the SC before. TUMS isn’t a noob, and it’s not as though they require the patient guiding hand the SC community should hypothetically be expected to provide to noobs.

And as fun as it was to address your newest half-thought out attempt at a shot at TWP, perhaps we should get back to the topic at hand.

There is context behind this. It was a discussion in the Card server over if it was possible to C&C Testlandia, and I was saying there's no way while a few others were trying to come up with convoluted ways to evade the rules. This is just TUMS taking me up on that bet.

One Legendary card to the first person who can write a solid draft without breaking a single meta rule and still managing to fill it with enough non-admin community contributions that it can make it without a [Joke] tag.

For the record, and in the event people haven't seen it in the proposal queue, this got ruled legal.

Is it considered a public service to write a guide on how to navigate a nuclear hellscape that the guide's author, itself, created?

I think that rule means commending a mod for banning someone, not what OP is doing.

Then you’re just wrong.

Next in line please.

An interesting project, though I think taking it to vote isn't necessarily the best idea. I've always thought it would be fun to Condemn Maxtopia if they ever refound, but that seems to be a different thing altogether.

I will say, though I'm not supportive of this proposal in terms of it passing, I certainly don't think it warranted the level of personal criticism present in this thread.
