There is a rule that you can't commend/condemn site admins and mods.
The flag you see is flag of Ruvyzvat, FNF Mid-Fight Masses mod.
Czech, they/them

Incorrect, the rule says: "Proposals cannot Commend or Condemn members of the site staff (Moderators, Administrators, Issues Editors, Roleplay Mentors, General Assembly Secretariat etc.) for actions taken as part of their role."

So you can't commend an admin for introducing a new feature, or an issue editor for editing an issue. But other actions are fair game: for example, some Issues Editors that are now commended have their resolutions mentioning issues authored when they were not an Editor, or for entirely unrelated actions such as region building or authoring a WA proposal.

Regardless, what the proposal mentions is not commendable and the author knows, due to the origin of this as a joke in the Cards server, so I'm voting against.

Ehhh. This proposal has less substance than what comes out of my tailpipe. And I’m a hybrid. Voted against.

It's not very good, the points are too few for a condemnation and it's incredibly poorly written, and seems like a badge hunt. And I'm not even in the WA

Close your eyes and imagine with me.

You write a garbage, shitty & unfunny joke proposal for the SC which no one finds humorous at all. You submit it. The proposal makes quorum. The resolution goes up to vote and gets crushed. Everyone forgets about your joke resolution apart from when you bring it up in conversation at literally every single opportunity.

Then someone else comes along and does the exact same thing you did: they draft a meh joke SC proposal, they submit it, it makes quorum, goes to vote & fails. So obviously the rational course of action is to storm their SC forum thread being unnecessarily antagonistic and cruel.

The lack of self-awareness is astonishing. I don't support your proposal, TUMS, but I'm sorry that you've been subjected to this by folks who are salty that no one finds their jokes funny.

Hello to you too Andy!

30% of the vote’s not bad. Personally I was glad Condemn Dilber had the support of so many GCRs.
Everyone forgets about your joke resolution apart from when you bring it up in conversation at literally every single opportunity.
I know, I even went so far as a to…mention it once in Europeia’s MoWAA, I basically never stop talking about it really.

Then someone else comes along and does the exact same thing you did
Not exactly the same, mine had support.
So obviously the rational course of action is to storm their SC forum thread being unnecessarily antagonistic and cruel.
Lol, this complaint again? If you can point out where I’ve been so horribly mean and cruel, I’d be happy to see where.

The lack of self-awareness is astonishing.
So am I somehow completely lacking in self awareness by criticizing a bad joke proposal while having written one, and yet also salty about how no one liked mine? Im not sure how I can be unaware about something I’m also salty about, but I suppose you’re just not constrained by the chains of logic like the rest of us.
subjected to this by folks who are salty that no one finds their jokes funny.
Subjected to what exactly? And plenty of people found my proposal funny, or else it wouldn’t have gotten nearly as many votes.
Yet another sad attempt to make the situation look significant more personal and mean than it ever was. And each attempt manages to be sadder than the last. While I’d like to applaud Andy for his attempt at insightful argument, it once again falls flat. If anyone else feels like posturing about nothing please do so, but to act as though I’m secretly salty that a proposal I expected to fail failed is nonsensical.

I'm not wasting my time replying to someone who, seemingly in the absence of anything of substance or interest, is relying on silly jokes and fixating on small details to distract from the bigger picture that a number of people's conduct in this thread has been disappointing, toxic and sorely lacking self-awareness.

Indeed. Perhaps instead you should focus on recruiting for your region? Such a shame to see them go below 100 delegate endorsements. I can think of no better way than that to make your posts actually carry some weight

I fail to see how my delegate's endorsements matter in the slightest here.

Besides, we have regularly lose a significant portion of our endorsements because we are providing our friends & allies with more pilers than most regions could ever dream of having :)

The fact of the matter here is that this is poorly-written. TUMS took the time to write a proposal, and also created a thread in the forum, regarding his proposal. Two vital steps in the right direction for getting your proposal to 1) get approved to go to vote, and 2) get passed as WA law. Unfortunately, they failed to take any advice from more experienced players on the site regarding their proposal. Instead, they pushed right through consultation on improving the proposal guaranteeing a better chance at getting chance. While the proposal was in quorum, TUMS decided to stay on their thread, looking through responses and responding back at them. This didn't make a whole helluva lotta sense considering that the proposal was already in quorum, unable to be edited, and therefore, no advice was really able to be considered, making the former proposal thread pointless.

This either shows of TUMS ignorance or inexperience. If the latter, it can be forgiven, because we've all been at that stage at on time in our career on NationStates. Either way however, the proposal shouldn't have been submitted that early.

So as the Secretary-General of The World Federation, our region's official stance on the proposal, "Commend Testlandia", is as of now, "AGAINST".

Signed,
