Draft amended to reflect that fact that End Conversion Therapy will be GA#559 if it passes (and it looks like it will; it's currently up by 4,000 votes).

“With your recent passage of the replacement, I see no reason not to pass this repeal. I don’t quite see a reason to do so either, since it’s not as though unnecessary resolutions cause any harm, but that isn’t a cause for opposition.”

Stepanovskiy: I would’ve said “full support” but it’s not like I’m offered a say in the matter. Still, we do support this and should this pass will most likely return to the wa, but I doubt that anyone would care…

"The Haven firmly believes that this repeal and replacement was entirely unnecessary, as the original resolution prevented the coercive use of conversion therapy by states and parents without the unduely overbearing restriction on adults deciding what they do with their own minds and bodies. As we did not support the replacement proposal we are unable to support this repeal."

End Conversion Therapy was passed in 2021. It bans all forms of conversion therapy.
I want to repeal Ban on Conversion Therapy because it does nothing that End Conversion Therapy does not do. I hope that you will approve my repeal.

"It's not repealing the legislation on conversion therapy that just passed. It's repealing older legislation passed in 2018. Conversion therapy is still banned in W.A states."

Staypuftonia supports the repeal, under the principle that if a better amendment exists, then there is no point for an existing one which only partially covers the subject of the newer amendment.
