I'm all for the Assembly stickin' its nose in the business of member states, considerin' how that's its main function 'n all that, but this just seems like micromanagement taken to the extreme. Besides, the WA has no damn business interferin' in whether member-states want to make some substance legal or not for as far as I'm concerned; we can support something related to...I dunno, bannin' the summary execution of drug addicts or somethin', although that probably already exists considerin' the sheer volume of the Assembly's book of intersomethin' law , but this one's just goin' too far. I s'ppose there's somethin' about bein' poorly written as well, but I doubt I've the right to judge that one."

Agreed. While the intention towards personal freedom is honorable, the World Assembly has no place managing how member states' regulate substance use. Today its marijuana; tomorrow, who knows? The High King and his council firmly objects to this proposal, in the name of anti-micromanagement.

Dudecia cannot and will not support a bill that demands reparations for those incarcerated. While we are not against the rights of people to use recreational drugs in private, those who have been incarcerated before the passing of said bill broke the law as it was current and do not deserve reparations.

"Denied. Cannabis is already legalized in Boscaza, but I really don't see why I should let the World Assembly affect the nation's drug policy."
To be further noted is the section including reparations mandated to all incarcerated over ownership or dealing of Cannabis, which also reinforces Boscaza's stance on the issue.
Also, the timing of this issue is strangely close to the point at which unrest related to the illegality of Cannabis (at the time) came to a head and the Boscazan government was forced to act on the issue.

Both the MANDATES clause and the ENSURES clause have confusing wording, an issue which has already been pointed out. However, I also noticed that the DENOTES clause denotes a minimum amount of cannabis that can be carried relating to different types of the stuff. There's a limit on how little you can carry, not on how much you can carry.

Who cares bro is disgusted that anyone would say this about a human being who is simply using a mostly harmless drug for fun. You would never say this about alcohol.

District-C News
Hexxon votes AGAINST controversial Marijuana bill.

Official Statement:
This resolution intrudes on our nation's sovereignty and our ability to self-govern. The World Assembly is meant to be a guiding hand in world affairs, not a micro managing organization that holds member nations to strict standards.

This has been District-C News, the 100% definitely reliable news source from the Capital District.
Just some nation who sometimes comments on WA proposals.

Nations have the right to deny something that we don't think of as best for our nation. We must keep out citizens safe, and with the passage of this bill would come chaos, as drug importers bring it in from other countries, ruining the economy. Do not accept this bill unless you want to screw your economy and raise crime.

anti weed

Postby Poposhania » Mon Apr 27, 2020 3:45 pm

Hello I the country of Poposhania is very against the legalization of marijuana. We disagree with this because we see no benefit of marijuana being legalized and people smoking weed all the time does not make for a very functional society. Marijuana isnt like alcohol were someone can drink a beer than go home when you smoke a little bit of weed it effects everything you do like if you were to go drive after smoking weed it would effect your driving and put the lives of other people at risk. Whether people want to believe it or not marijuana is a mind altering chemical and effects your daily life negatively. We also dont want the increase of crime in our country as marijuana is legalized also means in increase in crime and here in Poposhania we our very peaceful people and encourage people to have good principles and morals. So we simply do not want to bring something to our country if it is only going to effect our societies and our own lives negatively.
