Now, if a member of a region writes a commendation for the region they're in, then that would be considered a self-commendation. Might want to re-check your definition of what makes a self-commendation a self-commendation.

Authored by Firstaria.

Firstaria is in the 10000 Islands. They authored the resolution. I guess this would make it a self-commendation then, wouldn't it.

Unless Firstaria was not in 10000 islands at the time of the resolution, in which case I'll accept being false.

Firstaria was a member of ITALIA when he wrote the original and the successor resolution to Commend 10000 Islands. So no, it was not a self-commendation. The proposal on the books right now was edited and finished by AMOM after Firstaria CTEd in 2010, that's why he added Firstaria at the bottom of it.

Ah, I see, thanks for the clarification.

OOC: I believe a more accurate way of describing it is that the big delegates are using their endorsements (supplied by mostly inactive nations) to swing a vote in favour of commending one of their fellow defenders.

Sorry, which of the big delegates are extremely defender-biased?

The delegates of TSP, TRR, and XKI are the defender aligned ones, by virtue of region alignment. Every other large region (except Osiris, which is raider) is some forms of I/independent or neutral.

Is neutral another word for dead?

Neutral usually means lacking a different alignment, generally from legal limits or not having a military. Neutral is essentially the alignment of not having made a choice or choosing to be uninvolved in R/D.

I find this quite funny considering the "for" votes from individual nations is greater than the entirety of the "against" votes.

The NPO has no ideological side that would determine the nature of our vote based on membership on either side of the R/D spectrum, and we are supporting the proposal because of the merits of the Commendee as listed here.

TNP is Independent so would not be covered under Aclion's neutral = dead.

I would dispute that TNP is big i Independent, we don't even have the Manifesto pinned any more ;)

What do you mean by "big i independent", because I've heard that before but I still don't know what it means.

Big I Independent subscribes to a specific philosophy of being Independent, little i independent just indicates willingness to do both raiding and defending.

A dispatch pinned or not pinned does not make a region an ideology (LWU pinning a defender dispatch wouldn't make them defender). That being said, when you asked why the dispatch was unpinned, you were told that there wasn't enough room for all of the dispatches. If TNP has moved away from Independence, I must have missed that Delegate declaration.

That being said, I think we're getting a bit off-topic here.

Not neutral=dead
neutral={dead,...}
