Agreed. I was kind of "meh" on this one, since it seems like XKI internal back-patting more than anything, but if it annoys the CCD folks this much, there may be more value to it than I realized. I will look in to it further.

Au contraire, I think after reading Kuriko’s proposal that Markanite is very commendable. It’s just a shame you CCD members wouldn’t know a good proposal if it got up and bit you on the nose.

One member of a region writing a commendation for another member of the same region does not a self-commendation make. Now, if a member of a region writes a commendation for the region they're in, then that would be considered a self-commendation. Might want to re-check your definition of what makes a self-commendation a self-commendation.

I said a self-commendation in all but name. I know that it doesn't fulfil what you lot consider a "self-commendation", because you wouldn't be making this proposal otherwise. My point is that you're deliberately trying to commend Markanite, no doubt being a close regional ally of theirs. XKI is notorious for things like this. You cannot say to my face that this isn't just blatant backscratching.

I mean, at least when we do it we're upfront about it (and have a good sense of humour). Admittedly, though, Kuriko hasn't put much effort into disguising this proposal either (although I can confirm that the CCD is a million times more worthy of commendation than anyone from XKI).

Firstaria is in the 10000 Islands. They authored the resolution. I guess this would make it a self-commendation then, wouldn't it.

OOC: I believe a more accurate way of describing it is that the big delegates are using their endorsements (supplied by mostly inactive nations) to swing a vote in favour of commending one of their fellow defenders.
