My opinion as a player:

While I think a long delegate streak is a good argument for a commendation, it’s not nearly good enough to basically the only argument. If this proposal has discussed more of Mikeswill’s region building efforts in his region and other achievements I may have been swayed to vote for. But simply pointing at 15 years (particularly when the straight streak of 15 years was only accomplished by supporting condemnable actions) is insufficient to meet the high bar of a commendation, IMO. While both NewTexas and myself had our respective streaks pointed at as reasons for the commendation, they are certainly not the main or essentially only reasons mentioned.

Just a quick two cents (looks like it’s about to go under, and I voted no anyhow for reasons)

From Mike’s factbook regarding the security council:
“ I have kept my Region Raider free for 12+ years by keen vigilance to the Game Play throughout the JenGuv World. This has included Puppets and Spies and infiltration of Regions. ”

Regardless of how you feel about deals or understandings with raiders, which seems to be the main objection of several voters, to me that’s a perfectly valid method of game play. If you go by simple results, it’s worked. Extremely well. I doubt many other regions have tried that, or with as much success. That’s one of the reasons I moved to the region, I was tired of being in regions that were constantly being raided. Some may see a moral dilemma, I see it as a perfectly effective approach to gameplay and commendable in its own right.

Agreed. I'm sure the vote counts would have been closer if the author was different, but ultimately, having a long delegacy streak (due to raider affiliations) is not good enough as the only reason for a commendation.
