"non-legally competent peope?"

OOC: Like its use in clause 1 of Ban on Sterilisation of Minors Etc., that's supposed to include anyone without the full ability to independently make rational decisions.

I meant to say that you had a spelling error there. Ditto "overseeeing" with three Es.

Ugghhh that's what I get for apparently not proofreading properly. Thanks for pointing that out though.

I don't think that should cause problems in terms of actual policy effects if it passes though ... I'd be reluctant to withdraw, as I've already been campaigning.

"Adamant that forced sterilisation as a punishment for sexual offenders is both purposeless and immoral, given the severe and long-term depression and anxiety it often causes;"

I support every provision of the bill except this. It is my nation's opinion that sexual offenders are deserving of forced sterilization.

"Agreed. The victims of many sex offenders are subject to long-term depression and anxiety, along with other mental and physical health issues, which is not by their choice. The law should not be so forgiving to those who choose to inflict immense harm on innocents with such disregard. Forced sterilization or castration seems like the appropriate punishment for the most severe crimes of this category. I cannot in good conscience support the resolution. I do applaud the measures that prevent the targeting of minorities, but the provision against criminal punishment poisons the well."

"Sterilising sexual offenders neither undoes their past offences, nor does it prevent future ones. It is a cruel and useless punishment that in no way contributes to any sort of rehabilitation of the offender or to the protection of society from the offender."

this is getting close to eugenics, we need to stop this.

Never

Greetings from Saint Chuck,

Never will we allow outside forces to control what we do with our peoples bodies!

If we were to vote yes on this we would be expressing a counter argument to a central tenant of our civic planning, that of Beatnik control. For if we are not allowed to Spay and Neuter the beatniks how we will be able to keep them from infecting every aspect of our glorious society.

We won't even discuss the Just punishment for our rule breakers! Everyone knows if you allow rules to be broken it eventually leads to a life of beatnikking. Once they get the Jazz and coffee in them it always leads to more crime and less productivity.

Saint Chuck will be voting NO! We welcome any Nation that wishes to reserve the right to control the bodies of their citizens to join us in voting NO.

He raped 20 children, but we don't want him to get all depressed about it!

Opposed.

I agree. I have not seen any conclusion that use of sterilization on sex offenders will prevent them from committing the offense again.

It doesn't matter if it stops them. It is done because that is what such scum deserve.

Regardless, we oppose this pro-rapist resolution.
