This passage has shown the vast outnumbering of us. Lucky for you and me something as barbaric as that would never pass in real life because people in the political field usually have more common sense. Even Hillary Clinton wouldn't support this. It is unethical, and countless doctors have said that children should not be introduced to hormone therapy.

Children can be deceived by the media or by family. This has happened countless times, and kids go on hormones. When this said child grows up some of them regret it. But at that point it is irreversible.

Also, personally, I have seen a lot evidence pointing to the fact that Gender Dysphoria does not even exist. One of the best points I can make is that no other animal in nature (that does not switch sex naturally, such as some frogs) has gender dysphoria. Gender Dysphoria also did not exist until the past 70 years or so. Homosexuality is a different story, I am not talking about that. May I also add that some chemicals in foods, soaps, sunscreen, skin lotion, and other items can cause hormone imbalance. That can unfortunately lead to Gender Dysphoria.

A better resolution would by increasing funds for psychiatric help for those who may have Gender Dysphoria.

If you disagree with me that is your right but it is wrong to force me to have this. I could continue but I have to go. I rest my case.

Hi there,

Just a quick note that Charlotte Ryberg has left the WA after the compliance telegram, only because we completed what we needed to do to reinforce the passage of this landmark resolution.

I do not think we are alone in joining the WA for a specific resolution. ;)

OOC: Again, no. It isn't. The fines will always cost more than noncompliance, short term or long term. They are calculated specifically to force nations into compliance. The idea is that it will always be more expensive to refuse to comply than it is to pay the fines. The fines get bigger and bigger.
The WA will cheerfully bankrupt a noncompliant nation.

OOC: Yeah, the WA has little reason to cater to the noncompliant. Comply or get out.

Noncompliance also suspends the duty of member states to not, like, embargo your state, freeze assets, maintain normalized relations, etc. So on top of the bankruptcy, you lose preferential treatment by fellow WA members. So you can't even climb out of the bankruptcy.

Its cheaper to comply. I would know. I wrote that resolution.

OOC: If you actually read the resolution, you would notice that it nowhere states that the government/nation should be paying for the medication or treatment, just that it needs to be affordable. How a nation would be going bankrupt by this is hard to fathom, unless the nation's whole economy is based on artificially highly priced hormone therapy to begin with, which is an absurd scenario.

OOC: I sincerely doubt that paying for hormone therapy would drive you to bankruptcy. Additionally, as I've made abundantly clear throughout this thread - this resolution doesn't even require the nations themselves to pay for them. You would be fine if you implement a law that requires the private sector to keep the price affordable. There are a plethora of options you can adopt, a vast majority of which do not require you to go "bankrupt," which you are so needlessly concerned about.

I only want to boot the noncompliant. If I could boot them manually by operation of resolution, I would. Alas, the coding doesnt work for that.

And, for what its worth, the resolution passed with a majority of nations voting For. It must be more than just me.

Also, if I'm supposed to be paying fines for noncompliance with WA laws, you're a bit late on sending me a bill.

OOC: From a roleplay perspective, you were subject to noncompliance fines when you joined. Or, at least at the beginning of any given fiscal segment as defined by the Compliance Commission. There are mitigating factors considered, but not for wilful noncompliance.

I'm just telling you now since you missed the memo.

I thought that the worst thing that could happen from claiming non-compliance, at least on the WA’s side, was to cause the annoyance of other World Assembly members who already know that compliance is mandatory.

Embargoes, asset freezes and normalized relations would depend on the decision of the nations involved with the alleged non-compliant nation. If I recall correctly, the WA only kicks out a member state if (1) they are caught having more than one nation in the WA, (2) plagiarism, or (3) they submitted too many illegal proposals over a period of time.

Gender is a human construct, ofc you won't observe dysphoria in animals.
Gender Dysphoria also did not exist until the past 70 years or so. Homosexuality is a different story, I am not talking about that.

PTSD wasn't widely recognized as a thing 70 years ago either. Is PTSD fake too?
May I also add that some chemicals in foods, soaps, sunscreen, skin lotion, and other items can cause hormone imbalance. That can unfortunately lead to Gender Dysphoria.

Source?
A better resolution would by increasing funds for psychiatric help for those who may have Gender Dysphoria.

The better solution is to treat symptoms rather than the root cause of the dysphoria?

Well it seems the market is good enough because when this passed it didn’t raise my tax rates so I’m alright with this passing, transgender people get their hormones and the government still doesn’t have to do much, everyone wins.
