Looks like Bitely Jr. is buying his way to the queue again. Time for another historic defeat in the vote, I guess.

Helps that nothing else useful is in queue.

OOC: Buddy, I don't know why you're so caught up on us having $1.35 to spend. If that's a lot of money for you, I'm not sure how you can afford an ISP to play NationStates.

Good lord, you picked the wrong person to say this to.

I'm a disabled 25-year-old whose only income is a monthly check from Social Security. I have two thirds of a functioning right lung. The remaining one third of that lung is damaged from chemotherapy, and the entire left lung was removed due a cancerous tumor. That means I cannot walk down a hallway without having to sit down or stop, and no workplace will give me the amount of scheduled breaks I would need to actually work and make a living. I actually don't pay for the ISP I have. I wouldn't have an internet connection and my quality of life would be severely worse than it is now if not for excellent support from my family. $1.35 is a lot of money for me, and I can't see ever asking those that help keep my quality of life in a good place to help me pay for what you do. Pushing forward terribly-written proposals that have no chance of passing on a nation sim that's slowly dying anyway is a waste of money that I don't have, because I have to save every penny after spending hundreds on doctors and pills and vitamins and supplements and tests and operations and groceries and rent.

Don't call me "buddy".

OOC: Obviously I can't verify the extent of your situation, nor should I be expected to have known it, but if it's true then I'm sorry (though if your family is providing financial assistance for your internet and not your food or rent then I would suggest you talk to them about that). That's relatively a poor quality of life that I'm very thankful I did (EDIT: don't) live. I'm sure you'll make something meaningful from it through strength and perseverance, no matter how difficult that may be.

At the same time, this is my life. I'm going to play NationStates the way I want to, whether that aligns to your beliefs or not. Everyone should play NationStates the way they want to, whether that's your way or my way or another way.

I'm also going to spend the money that I earn how I want. I certainly don't appreciate the guilt trip you've tried to take me on.

Let's get this thread back on topic: if all goes well, this proposal should reach quorum soon.

I can practically feel how sorry you are through the screen.

Guilt trip? The fact you may have had a fleeting moment of guilt before convincing yourself that I was just trying to guilt trip you doesn't mean that's what actually happened. You're the one that condescendingly brought up the idea of what I can afford. You brought up the idea of what's a lot of money for me.

I don't give a damn whether you knew my situation or not. Having me snap back at you because I actually really can't support myself financially is not guilt tripping. It's your smug little remark backfiring on you.

Getting back on topic, though, is a good idea. Why do you keep campaigning for proposals you have to know by now will never pass?

Already given TWP’s Delegate a heads-up to stomp this as soon as possible after it gets to vote.

Your ignorance of the GP community is staggering sometimes Mikeswill is an obvious exception, considering they are heavily anti SC - considering any regular knows this I didn't feel like it was even remotely worth mentioning

Your statement implied they were somehow associated with Nazi regions. You're free to use some of your backwards logic to explain how they're actually Nazis, though, see: every topic that has anything to do with our region.

Actually, if you look really hard you'll see I sent that telegram with tag:delegates. I'm not purposefully sending it to "LGBT regions".

If you like, send me a reminder next time I post up a SC draft to leave your region out of the campaign telegram - that 1/10th of one cent adds up.

Okay. I need to type this out just so you understand what you're doing. You're gushing over a post that makes fun of the idea of someone being poor compared to people that have telegram stamps after I just admitted to being exactly that poor. What's wrong with y'all?

Any shame you felt over my comment was entirely deserved. The amount of shit proposals you've flooded the SC voting floor with is shameful, and you've done it by endlessly buying stamps.

I really don't think that's out of line.

We've never brought up the money thing, it's always brought up by others because apparently "lol spend more money from mum's credit card" invalidates the points we've made?

I personally don't think $1.35 is a lot of money, and I think it's a fairly safe assumption that most people living in developed countries don't see it as a lot of money either. I don't see how you can reasonably expect anyone to know your individual situation.

Blood Wine brought up LGBT regions being tagged and you mentioned saving money on stamps. So, yeah, your statement that y'all never bring it up can be disproved right here on this page.

ShrewLlamaLand wrote:I personally don't think $1.35 is a lot of money, and I think it's a fairly safe assumption that most people living in developed countries don't see it as a lot of money either.

Well, it wasn't a safe assumption this time.
