Oh cool. Another attempt from the CCD to try and hurt their enemies via repealing commendations with lies, opinions and no factual evidence to why the commendation should be repealed.

But seriously, commendations are just a badge.... they’re useless outside of RP.

Aren’t you guys a raider region?

Do some raiding. Making security and or WA proposals just make you seem even dumber than people originally thought.

I, obviously against this repeal.

Frustrated that some of I.A.’s more recent General Assembly resolutions, such as and GAR#443 and GAR#452, are, put simply, seemingly incomprehensible to the vast majority of member nations; (emphasis added)

The italicized portion is seemingly incomprehensible to me. It also doesn’t match the OP.

I think the biggest problem is that this person submits a WA proposal with a one-sentence description, then sends out mass telegrams elaborating on its meaning, essentially skirting around the need to actually say what you're saying officially.
on the other hand, it was the elaborate telegram's description that convinced me to vote against it, whereas the actual one-sentence proposal is something I otherwise would have voted for, so that shot them in the foot with me. Still, principles.

Hahahahahaha...

Even if IA deserved this, which they do not, I'd still be against due to the author. Joco and cronies have poisoned the well so throughly I cannot in good conscience support anything they use to further their agenda, even if it were a much better resolution then this.

Frankly, if the author of this resolution had achieved such an effect on the WA as IA had, then they'd be less of a laughingstock.

Acknowledging that Imperium Anglorum (herein “I.A.”) has well contributed to the world, as outlined by SCR#223, specifically heading Europe’s World Assembly (herein “WA”) Delegacy and the authorship of near thirty WA resolutions;

Calling into question, in fact, the very sincerity of I.A.’s WA operations, which, though lauded by SCR#223, have of late caused mass controversy and disharmony among member nations of this WA;

Disappointed that I.A. outwardly uses its reputation and power amongst the international community to further its own interests;

Noting that, for example, I.A., along with a collective of other WA Delegates, consciously instigates and perpetuates the lemming effect during WA votes; that is, dishonourably dumping a large number of votes at the onset of the ballot, creating a majority for member nations to align with;

Appalled that I.A. would seek to undermine both the democratic process and fellow authors in such a deceptive fashion;

Convinced I.A. adopts an air of superiority when dealing with nations it does not consider to be worth its time;

Frustrated that some of I.A.’s more recent General Assembly resolutions are, put simply, seemingly incomprehensible to the vast majority of member nations;

Furthermore, alarmed that SCR#223 would falsify the import of the legislation I.A. repealed to mislead this WA:

• GAR#329 did not “[permit] national sub-groups to disregard and neglect nationwide laws”;
• GAR#350 did not “[stop] the World Assembly from passing any laws;” and
• GAR#396 did not “[slow] down the Internet;”

Hereby repeals SCR#223 “Commend Imperium Anglorum.”

Our thanks. Truly, we'll have to quote that.

22 more approvals needed. We thank those delegates who have already answered this call to arms.

Because, as far as I am concerned, the reasons mentioned would also justify stripping a commend from many of them... but you can't repeal something they don't have, can you?

As usual, you're wrong.

This is motivated by badge hunting and vengeance. It's also a perfect example of why this repeal should pass.

Imperium Anglorum has passed 24 General Assembly resolutions. Accusing them of badge hunting shows a complete lack of understanding on what "badge hunting" means in the WA. There's also no apparent "vengeance" in what you've linked, and considering the consistently faulty logic you display, I doubt any attempt at explanation could rectify that.

If this is your perfect example of why your best buddy Jocospor should get their resolution passed, then it's obvious that this resolution should fail.

So a behavior that they all engage in is bad enough to warrant repealing a commend in this specific instance? Oh fucking please. And there are plenty of other regional delegates that have commends, for example Tsunamy, but I don't see them being targeted for their commend to be repealed. I wonder why. Perhaps it is because they haven't pissed anybody off lately... :roll:

How is it badge hunting? Imperium Anglorum already has the badge of a GAR author, so accusing him of trying to obtain a badge he already has is a fucking joke. And I don't see where you are pulling the "vengeance" thing from in this instance. Vengeance against whom? Hm? :roll:

My assessment that this repeal is motivated by badge hunting and vengeance is spot on.

That same badge also says how many resolutions you've passed. It's very clearly an attempt to add yet another resolution to his collection.

Vengeance isn't the word I'm looking for; I copied your wording for emphasis. I didn't expect every word I type to get picked apart (twice).

A better word to describe the resolution would be "snarky" - there was a campaign telegram sent out against it recently that explains exactly why. It's an obvious power play and attempt at mocking the World Assembly.

If you truly believe that having authored one WA resolution is the same as having authored near thirty, (which is exactly what you're implying, don't argue), then you've a more warped understanding of badge-hunting than anyone.

And curb your tongue, sir. It's bad enough listening to your arguments without the profanities.
