Not true, we've always intended for the resolution to pass. Look at the hostile response we've received in this thread - I'm not super keen on having these same people help draft the proposal.

We'd like to comment on this toxic commentary on spending money on telegram stamps. First of all, what, you think the huge regions don't use telegram stamps? Mmm. Those nations all just got there somehow. *Woosh!* Nations appearing out of thin air! Extraordinary! Secondly, if you're going to quantify how much we've spent, you should get your numbers right. 30,000 is a cute estimate at best.

Quite frankly, if you aren't prepared to fund a Mr Max Barry's lunches, we bloody well are - and we see absolutely no logical comparison between our telegram stamps and criticism concerning this proposal.

Large regions often have some other attraction. Newsletters, inter-regional events and so on that keeps members. They take part in other aspects of the game and generally do stuff worthy of commendation. My comment on your recruitment drive was merely highlighting that all you have in terms of commendation material is that you are a large region. You are a large region solely because you spent a lot of money so you could send out many telegrams. That's not commendation worthy.

I assumed that the resolution here is a recruitment drive because you didn't just not take on board criticism you also didn't seem to glance over past resolutions as a basic look should have told you that you need more in this resolution than "we are a big region."

I would put money on your region's numbers crashing in a few months unless you really want to spend real money maintaining that level of funded recruitment.

I haven't seen any flaming here at all, actually. Some of your people's posts have come pretty close imo, but moderation doesn't agree.

The Mods aren't responsible for the results of the collective international votes issued by individual nations and regional delegates. If you think that appealing on the grounds of "this is unfair" is going to get this passed, you're in for an unpleasant surprise.

Great, then don't accuse anyone of flaming! If you think someone has broken the rules, file the report. It's not about stooping to some lower level or whatever, it's the proper procedure.

We're well aware that the Mods don't have any influence on the vote. Jocospor was stating that, unlike some nations, we don't feel the need to report every single comment here that attacks our region or ideology.

It's not a publicity ploy. I've written the proposal because I believe the Confederation of Corrupt Dictators, which happens to be the region I reside in, deserves a commendation, and as I've said many times previously I fully intend to have the proposal passed.

I am fully against. Self Commendation, not worthy even if you exclude that. Also it is fascist.

I suggest people just stop commenting on this publicity stunt and let it die on the assembly floor before even going to vote. That's all.
