WA proposal can’t do that, and it’s too difficult to enforce. Up to the voters to stop that, and they almost always do.

Anyway, CCD hasn’t done near enough to warrant a condemnation, nor are they worth giving the publicity

By way of comparison with reality, this proposal is slightly less unpopular than Commend Northern Redlands was after 13 hours (10.6% vs 10.3%).

Keep in mind, three of the Feeders and two of the Sinkers have yet to vote, so the opposition is most definitely going to get much bigger.

It is a dangerous game to commend or condemn a region for political ideology, but given the nature of commendations/condemnations we recognize it may be impossible to not base it at least partially on a judgment of values.

Having said that, the Ravendian delegacy would like to make clear that, while it does not take a hostile stance towards fascist nations per se, neither will it be able to support a commendation that merely lauds their existence rather than any concrete accomplishments towards building the NS community.

Furthermore, we have not observed any significant attempt by the resolution author and regional delegate to engage in constructive dialogue with other Security Council members at this point or in their previous attempts at crafting resolutions. Rather, their presence seems to typically incite greater conflict and divisions. While the actions of individual nations stand separate from resolutions aimed towards a region, it certainly does not instill confidence that the proposal was created in good faith.

OOC: I don't really mind, it's a bit pompous to commend your own region but "pompous" is pretty much 80% of what NS is most of the time. This spat of proposals that were sent to vote with minimal drafting periods has been somewhat aggravating, though, no matter how satisfying it is to see them crushed.
