“In clause 4b, I believe the ‘their’ before ‘audiences’ should be an ‘its’ instead, since there is only one WALDS so the pronoun shouldn’t be plural.”
A representative democracy with a parliament of 535 seats
Kenmoria is Laissez-Faire on economy but centre-left on social issues
Located in Europe and border France to the right and Spain below
NS stats and policies are not canon, use the factbooks
Not in the WA despite coincidentally following nearly all resolutions
This is due to a problem with how the WA contradicts democracy
However we do have a WA mission and often participate in drafting
Current ambassador: James Lewitt

However, what is your expectation on these mandates regarding areas such as war-zones, disaster zones, or the like ambassador, given the likely more dire reason for people to know their WA protections?"

Oh, is it safe to start a WA title with "circu…" these days?
If you see I've made a mistake in my wording or a factual detail, telegram me and I'll fix it. I'll even give you credit for pointing it out, if you'd like.

"Hello. I am Ambassador Twilight Sparkle of the Republic of Akila, and I am here to review the proposal. As a mare with a notable love of learning, education, and a support of information intelligence in a population, I broadly support the ideals of this proposal.

The Republic of Akila firmly supports the first clause. Making the resolutions of the World Assembly available to anycreature who asks for them is considered important already in the Republic, and it seems a fine practice to put into place. The Republic of Akila supports the second clause very broadly, though it would ask for some clarification on one matter. Is it expected and/or intended that every law student should be made aware of every resolution and the process of all legislation for the World Assembly, regardless of the nature of the law school they attend?

The Republic of Akils supports the third clause, pursuant to its belief in an educated populace with access provided by the first clause.
The Republic of Akila supports the fourth clause, but with some concerns that may drive it to not support the resolution. Namely, 4b give WALDS great power to influence populations with commentary. What protections are there to prevent an ideological bent, regardless of intent, from making such commentary politicized rather than educational?

The Republic affirms its support of clauses five and seven. The Republic is momentarily withholding support for clause six until questions asked by the Honored Representative from Lord Dominator are answered.

The Republic of Akila voices its general pleasure with this proposal, and is confident that it will be worthy of its support. Have a Harmonious day."

It is not in the Confederation's best interests for its general populace to understand World Assembly resolutions. The Delegate's Office has consequently voted against this disgusting attempt to inspire insurgence.

“At this has reached the voting floor, this delegation declares its support for this proposal. It is an excellent way to ensure that member states properly follow their obligations in international law and a chance to give the WA populace a more thorough understanding of global affairs.”

"Your reasoning has inspired me sir. Initially I was hesitant to cast my vote, seeing the proposal as unnecessary." says Ariela Mirase, Ambassador and Voice for Arasi Luvasa, carefully placing down the flask from which she had just been drinking. "However my people firmly stand for truth, and if the failure of this proposal may jeopardize others access to truth then we will stand firmly in support."
Ambassador Ariela Galadriel Maria Mirase
37 year old Arch-bishop of the Arasi Christian Church (also the youngest ever arch-bishop and fifth woman in the church hierarchy). An attractive but stern woman with a strict adherence to religious and moral ethical codes, also somewhat of an optimist. She was recently appointed to the position following the election of Adrian Midnight to the position of Patriarch.

I see no reason why a nation should be allowed to keep the laws they follow from their own citizens. It would only seem to be practical if one is trying to hide rights from one's own citizens, which I definitely disagree with. Support.

The great Empire of Metthara shall support this resolution. We constantly pursue knowledge of all things, so educating the masses about the WA fits right in our ideals.

We need an amendment.

Postby Akbar » Wed Sep 05, 2018 3:08 pm

"Requires member nations to make available to all their inhabitants the text of World Assembly resolutions"

For countries who don't have the necessary technological infrastructure to simply make the text available online, this will constitute an unnecessary financial burden by forcing them to make available, in physical print, the text of World Assembly resolutions for every single one of their inhabitants .

Changing from requires to something like urges is necessary if we don't want to impose a financial burden on countries that are already impoverished.

Postby Pragaliane » Wed Sep 05, 2018 3:20 pm

The Pragalianeese Government cannot support this resolution as it can introduce ideologies into the country that go aggainst the values and morals of Pragalianeese people.
