Wallenburg wrote:"Ambassador." Deputy Representative Holt sighs, deeply resenting his requirement to attend Security Council votes. "The World Assembly exercises several powers in addition to giving directives to comply with all passed legislation. The World Assembly Compliance Commission actively investigates potential noncompliance and compiles evidence of member violations for the World Assembly. By the authorities delegated in the Administrative Compliance Act, such violations are subject to heavy, continuing fines scaled to make noncompliance less desirable than compliance. Member states will raise sanctions against you if you do not pay these fines. By the authorities delegated in the World Assembly Justice Accord, this organization's Judicial Committee may hear cases brought against member states or any actors within their jurisdiction for violations of World Assembly law. The courts of this Judicial Committee determine guilt and sentencing for such violations."
Holt leans forward, clearly unimpressed with the individual representing their banana republic. "As a result of your state's broad violations of international law, my nation and much of the World Assembly are inclined not to recognize your state as enjoying the rights associated with World Assembly membership."
The Youssathian Ambassador was clearly unimpressed after the provocative speech made by Wallenburgian Deputy Representative. He had half the mind to grab a cup of coffee and storm out of this current session, but his assistant calls for him to stand his ground still. Despite vivid protests from the ambassador, he finally sighs, before reluctantly agreeing with his assistant. After all, leaving disgracefully from a Security Council meeting can have negative implications from other WA member states as well. No, he will have to stand his ground from that.
"Ambassador." The Youssathian Ambassador finally regains his composure, before continuing his speech. "After all the money and time spent on feeding the bureaucratic mouths within The World Assembly Compliance Commission, how much good did it do for the international community? My government has been 'creatively complying' with some of the GA resolutions in here and yet, in spite of our defiance to pay those fines, the only effective sanctions that we have received are from nitwits like you who preach every single word in the GA resolution like the Bible! Do you actually think member states will raise sanctions or raise an international tribunal on us, without considering the political and economic repercussions that they might face if they do so? We live in a world where our World Assembly Compliance Commission simply sends us petty letters detailing the compliance of the GA resolutions and nothing more. Ambassador, if you truly want to hit us hard, go ahead and strike the head of the serpent instead by enacting real change."
The ambassador laughs, before mocking the representative once more for his gimmicky tricks. "Or you can declare war on this 'banana republic' as you say under the pretence of 'freedom', then maybe everyone here can see the warmonger that you are. You may not recognize us or my state, Ambassador, but our people and their hopes are real, and many other member-states, WA-affiliated or not, see us this way. We will stand on principles, and we won't stand for a controversial law that has been drafted from the other side of the world."
