Sorry Len, we are going to pass on this discussion. Been here, done this, not doing it again. We know how it works, somebody declares "ad hominem'' or "e pluribus unum" or some such "BS" and the next thing you know, your words wind up as part of Jakker's signature and you walk away with a Mod Warning.

Now now, NewTexas, I have plenty of great quotes from you when we overtook your delegacy and none of those ended up on my signature. Don't just assume

The resolution discusses many things that makes Texas commendable, it just has a lot of defences to discuss because there's a fuckton of them.

1. Dom is correct. My point was that I do think there is more to Texas than defending and I feel like that could have been showcased better. I apologize for not being clear.
2. But since the point was brought up, I will note that simply participating in defending or raiding is not much of a significant accomplishment. Getting updaters and WA support is something, but nothing more. I am assuming Texas led some of those earlier defenses, but the proposal lists several liberations and defenses in which they simply participated in. Deployments are not very commendable.

I'll tell you what made Texas special to work with, they were dependable. They show up. If you need five more guys or whatever, and you give them a bit of notice, they'll attend your liberation. They always cut through the politics. That's what makes them special. They're straight shooters. You might not be able to appreciate that from the invader side, but any liberation organizer in the past decade has appreciated it.

You're not really helping their case I can appreciate reliable updaters who show up just as much as anyone. That's important, but again not worth much in a Commendation setting.

The fact invaders have gone against Condemnations in the past for being purely about invading contradicts what you're saying.

Also, I'm AGAINST this because it's too Gameplay-oriented for a region like Texas. The excuse about that stuff also being in NewTexas' commendation is just that; an excuse.

It wasn't an excuse, it was the main argument for its earlier commendation to be repealed. I didn't want a repeat.

In general, this happens to some degree on all sides. But overall, this is just plain inaccurate for this thread. There is not a single objection to the concept of Texas being commended as a region by any nation affiliated with raiding. The closest thing you can even call as an objection was my statement and I simply made the point that Texas has done more commendable things than what the proposal has focused on. So whatever you were trying to "point out" is fake news.

Thank you, Lenly, for authoring this. I know this has been a passion project of yours for a while and I must commend you for your dedication. Texas has outlasted every other defender region (except maybe TRR?) and continues to make meaningful contributions to the cause long after their time in the spotlight. They didn't deserve to lose their commendation in the first place, but I'm on board with them earning an even better commendation as a result.
