I'm not here looking for cooperation. I'm making it clear that Moderation's actions in response to "Repeal 'Stopping Suicide Seeds'" were not excusable, and that I will not stand for another incident like it.

I will remember this in the future. I'm sure Moderation will, too. Since you don't seek cooperation, I'm certainly not inclined to lend it.

OOC: You agreed with that, SP, as did most of the GenSec members, back then.

OOC: Keshiland, I hope you realize that you've effectively poisoned the well for a sincere repeal of GAR #2 for another six months or so. Was this really worth it?

Fris's insistence that intentional lying does not constitute an Honest Mistake, when the rules were changed specifically to make it so, was provocation. Moderation's failure to handle the situation so long ago was provocation. Honestly, I feel I would be justified in even harsher words, but I am not one to burn bridges.

Do we know that all delegations vote for the repeal with the same desires for a replacement as Keshiland? No, certainly not. Some may simply view it as instrumental to getting rid of the targeted resolution. Some, as the Kennyite Ambassador demonstrated earlier, may just want to see the world burn. A vote for a repeal is a vote against the targeted resolution, not for any particular potential replacement.
Of course, only losing 10:1 may be a huge, undeserved win for Keshiland. This particular repeal ought to have been voted down with everyone but Keshiland voting against, and only Keshiland voting for, so having more than a thousand delegations currently in favour is highly surprising."

This statement sparked some curiosity out of the Ferret ambassador Furettium, with that he left the debate hall, coming back some time later with a single sheet of paper.

"An ambassador here had brought up why anyone could possibly vote for this legislation, and to waste some time while the vote is going on I decided to go ask the hundred or so delegates that have voted for this why they did so. Besides the fact that most just do not like GA #2.

For national sovereignty - 5
Region parties voted for - 4
For chaos - 3
Pity - 2
Hate the GA - 2
GA has too much power - 1
Increase to political freedoms - 1

Of course this was just a small sample size, and not all the delegates are very social. But it distracted me from this here and hey, worthless information, it is something. Take of it what you will shows the mind set of what some has to come up against."

This practically destroys the establishment of International Diplomacy. Not to mention destroying rights of every individual nation for an organisation that can easily be corrupted.

Who and why would vote for this?!

I suspect for precisely the reasons you just pointed out....

Or because people didn't read it before they voted for it, more likely....

It was both a failure and a success. I might have lost big but I now know that I have the support of 2000 nations that I can now incorporate into a new federation!
OOC- I am a Prolife Liberal who is Anti Gun, Pro Immigration, Pro UHC, Pro financial aid, and anything that makes children's lives better. I am also eco-friendly.

IC- The Federation of Keshiland stands for freedom and local governance. Requirements for state hood. A territory atleast 1,000 KL and a population of atleast 100k. Our Constitution keeps us free and can only be changed with a 3/4ths ratification of the states.

State count 135

That's not how this works.
For: Israel, Palestine, Kurdistan, American Nationalism, American citizens of Guam, American Samoa, Puerto Rico, Northern Mariana Islands, and US Virgin Islands receiving a congressional vote and being allowed to vote for president, military, veterans before refugees, guns, pro choice, LGBT marriage, plural marriage, US Constitution, World Peace, Global Unity.

Against: Communism, Socialism, Fascism, Liberalism, Theocracy, Corporatocracy.

OOC: And what exactly are you expecting to happen, hmm? For those 2000 nations to split away and form a new "Federation"? Lunacy. Sheer lunacy. First, the game code would not let that happen. Second, the idea of a parallel organization existing alongside the current World Assembly, that broadly speaking aims for similar objectives, would be pointless. Please, let this idea die, Keshiland, there is a point when you need to let it die with some small shred of dignity.
