Not this rubbish again. As I said before:
....neither myself personally nor the TWP government will knowingly support a proposal written by someone who was dismissed from the WA for multi-ing.

That's a rather selective rule. Accidental multi'ing was rather common back before safe switching among R/Ders. A lot of more veteran invaders and defenders have a multi'ing charge on their record; especially if you were an organization leader and you were handing out clean puppets for fresh recruits to use for raids/liberations.

It's also quite common for newbies to multi and then mature as players along the way. I believe Sedge (now a SC mod) did that, I certainly did (I was young and even more stupid than now!)

We have a history of kicking WA cheats from TWP and we've made it a matter of policy not to knowingly support any proposal written by such an author.

In this case with a population of over 2.5 billion the author could hardly be classed as a newb.

Population doesn't mean a nation is knowledgeable. They could have spent their entire time in a region with friends with no contact with the outside NS, you just don't know. Hell, i'm a 25 billion nation and i'm still a newb in NS.

I rarely vote against based solely on author, but the author of this is not only a repeat-offender WA multi, but is currently banned from Europeia for repeated RMB spamming.

Total opposition. Nuke it from orbit.
In=character, Kaboomlandia is a World Assembly member and abides by its resolutions. If this nation isn't in the WA, it's for practical reasons.
Author of GA #371 and SC #208, #214, #226, #227, #230, #232

I am against this proposal because it is not well-written and does not adequately describe the achievements and good qualities of The Rejected Realms. This region deserves better.

In addition, I quote The Bruce:
The Bruce wrote:There really, really needs to be more about the history of the region ... Having a resolution to commend the Rejected Realms without any mention of Kandarin is just wrong.

The Rejected Realms has been around over ten years!

It boggles the mind that there isn't more included in a resolution about a region that's been around that long and had many notable personalities during that time.

It's the equivalent of writing a book about the last ten years in the history of Russia and all there is is a mention of some diplomacy with Belarus.

Take some time, dig into some forum archives, and get some material.

I'll just quote Montmorencia, whose is with me in Forest for why I am voting AGAINST:
"The Rejected Realms is certainly a commendable region. However the resolution which commends the region should as commendable as the region it was written for."
So basically, while the TRR is likely commendable, the proposal is poorly written, not researched, and is generally bad.

While I agree that the region should be commended, it is being grossly undersold by the wording and limited scope of the proposal on the floor. It is an injustice to let so much of its clearly storied past be forgotten. I reject this proposal on the grounds that this needs to be expanded upon greatly, and for a disturbing lack of research.

TRR's worthy of a commendation, but the substance of this commendation does not give anywhere near due credit to the full history of TRR. Like Kaboom, I don't often vote on SC proposals based on their authors, but a half-researched proposal written by a WA multi who's banned from multiple regions would not serve to highlight TRR's achievements but rather to tarnish its appearance.

Firmly against.

It's difficult to summarize the exhaustive, extensive, and comprehensive information of the Rejected Realms, its history, and its accomplishment into a resolution format.

I can tell that the majority (or even all of the text) of the resolution can be cited by the dispatches in the Rejected Realms that are meant to attract people to the region. As The Bruce cited, there's hardly any mentions of any of the influential figures like Crazy Girl or Kandarin (given that they are both commended already by this body, it would be fair to also include other important figures like historical RRA commanders who can no longer be commended due to being CTEd.) Also, the dispatches aren't enough alone to represent the story of the Rejected Realms.

I've seen this resolution submitted to the WASC several times already, and I'm disappointed to see that the content hasn't changed significantly (no additional information that couldn't be found in the dispatches.)

Lastly, as GRO stated, this commendation is incomplete without Kandarin's BBQ & Grill.
