Why bother when DEN no longer exists, I agree that the Condemn DEN is poorly written but why vote for something that is dead?

Goddammit, this again?

Isn't it beating a dead horse at this point? No, it's worse. It's like beating a zombie horse with four broken legs.

From the Osiris Fraternal Order
And the office of the Vizier of World Assembly Affairs

“After discussion between the community, and with consent from the Pharaoh and the respected gods that rule over truth, writing and wisdom, Ma’at and Seshat, the Pharaoh has casted his vote in favor of this proposal. The Pharaoh follows the will of the gods, and the will of the people. If the author, or any party interested would like to change this ruling, you are welcome to come to Osiris and let your will be known, present your case, and perhaps change the opinions of those who call the Nile home. It is with great appreciation that the community will welcome your thoughts; however, if you have something that you would like to direct towards the region regarding this vote, or the government, please send a telegram to Adytus, and my office will get back to you as quickly as possible. For more general concerns or questions regarding Osiris, please contact the Pharaoh, Cormactopia II. Ambassadors, thank you for your time and understanding. My office, and the Osiris Fraternal Order greatly appreciate those who contribute to the development of the Security Council, and will continue to encourage author nations, as well as other nations interested in defining the scope of the Security Council, to continue their work to the fullest, whether we are in disagreement or not. Let the wisdom of Seshat, and the truth of Ma’at follow you in all your endeavors.

Best Regards,
The Vizier of World Assembly Affairs, Adytus."

I am against this repeal. The Security Council should stand by its previous condemnation of DEN, which appears to have been successful since DEN no longer exists. Repealing the condemnation basically amounts to a coverup in my eyes, trying to cover up something in the Security Council's history that some nations here find embarrassing, and also it has no effect either. No factual reasons have been cited for why DEN should NOT be condemned, just criticism of the existing condemnation, but nobody has given any evidence that DEN was actually good or a positive force. Maybe if the condemnation could have the spelling and grammatical and factual errors fixed but stay in place I could support that, but that seems like just as much a waste of time as this, as DEN no longer exists. Honestly don't we have anything better to do than this silly repeal about a region that doesn't even exist anymore? Besides, the original condemnation was fully justified, just badly written.

Colonel Hiram Gerrantz snorts and, for the first time since taking up his seat on the Security Council, cracks a smile.
"Thank the Ancestors, finally a voice of reason amongst the belligerent assholes. No point in repealing a condemnation of a group that everyone wanted condemned just because it wasn't worded prettily enough -- particularly as the condemned group no longer exists as such. Euro already voted for this repeal - general consensus was that the original resolution was terrible.

San Theodora opposes the motion, as one of the nations with the worst grammar, spelling (and education) in the world (for poor peasants, that is, not upper classes) we feel that being 'poorly written' is not an excuse to repeal a WASC condemnation. San Theodora, and the Union of Dictatorships also note that the motion does not state any legitimate reasons to repeal, other than it being poorly written an prepared, which, as previously stated, we find invalid.

Why shouldn't it be passed? If we pass this resolution now, we'll never have to deal with this sort of issue popping up again. Just get it over with now, vote for, and be done with it.
"The Sun Always Rises"...until the WA finds a way to prevent that too with meaningless resolutions.

Asia

1) The only two instances of Asia being raided since DEN's formation were both occupations, run by The Black Hawks and then the ERN, in which DEN merely provided support in the form of pilers. Typically the SC does not include providing support for a raid as a condemnable offense: the region who organized the raid is the only one held responsible (with some exceptions made for Liberations).

2) Neither of these raids destroyed Asia. :eyebrow:
