What exactly does that mean? Are some nations of NationStates not earthly? Are there Alien nations? :geek:

"Of course, Ambassador. The Imperium is one such nation, though we hold the distinction of also being Human. Otherwise, there is the Archailect Collective, Normlpeople, and Bears Armed, and far more, I'm sure. None of which, are 'human nations' or, to my knowledge, are located on Earth."

Ambassador Geist materializes next to the representative from Beastos.

"Though some cannot or will not believe it, there are non-earthly beings in this assembly. I myself am not even a living one. This is why I would have preferred the resolution be a little more vague on this point, to more easily secure the support of those who do not know, or disagree, with this concept. However, I am pleased to see its early success and hope it continues, and I am proud this assembly can appreciate those of us of a different disposition from what one may consider to be the 'ordinary' or 'majority,' depending on where you live. Now, if you'll excuse me..."

The ambassador dissipates into a cloud and regains solid form near the closest stand, and addresses the rest of the assembly.

"As delegate of The Versutian Federation, I gladly cast my vote for this resolution, given my previous opposition to the target resolution. This resolution was not fully thought out and as the repeal states, neglected to consider the many non-human species and beings in our assembly, and was far too specific to be useful or applicable in many of our member nations. Hopefully these factors are considered in the event a replacement resolution is drafted. In the meantime, let us dispose of this mess."

Already cast my agreement vote.

Now, who would make a better replacement ? Or are the thoughts (read : imagination) of NS players are soo diverse, we should never put another one alike, or on overlapping subject ?

This is a giant mistake. sorry for your autism taking over. We need the sexual education. Sure, it educates children about intercourse, but it also educates them about the dangers, the prevention methods, etc. Kids today will do it anyway. They're little shits. So don't repeal this. Keep the sexual education in the schools. Think of the children for once.

"Vote in favor of the resolution at vote"? Better have voted no, because if you the children won't get sexual education. Do you really wanna see teenagers become parents, and/or get sexual transmitted diseases? Is THAT what you want for the children?

I'd rather not have any nation try to push the ineffective and backwards idea of abstinence-only sex education, especially when it is ineffective in decreasing HIV risk, sexual activity, or unplanned pregnancy. I also would like to condemn the bias abstinence-only sex ed has against homosexuals. The idea that sex should only occur in marriage has far-reaching implications for homosexual persons in areas where marriages or civil unions between 2 men or 2 women are either frowned upon or outright banned.

To top it off, abstinence-only sexual education is primarily rooted in religious views on sexual activity and contraception, something we would rather prefer to stay as far away from sexual education as possible. They speak nothing of how to control pregnancy once one is married, leading to unwanted and unplanned pregnancies in marriage. Has anyone here ever heard of the concept of going childfree? Because with abstinence-only, that is not a thing.

I do, however, recognize that there are different species that do not have sex as we are familiar with it. They should not have to make it mandatory if it is not a part of their species, though it could be offered as an elective.

I disagree with this act because the children of NationStates need to know more about their physical being and how their body works. Children need this knowledge. If you agree to this act, you are agreeing to take this important knowledge away from them. Think about the children
