I've updated this slightly (removed the clause about his issue authorship) to reflect the rather tricky legal situation regarding Luna's issues authorship.

EDIT: submitted.

You should be able to use the word, "issues" straight-up and equivocate it, like I did with General and International Incidents. "Recommendations" is also used in-game for issue options.

Recogonising Luna Amore's tireless contribution to the robust body of issues in NationStates; authorship and oversight which has helped build recommendations to pressing issues for national governments to address on a daily, or bi-daily basis, including Guerrilla Grandparents, A Vat Lot Of Trouble and Trash Talk, among many others.

I've included issue titles as phrases, as if you were saying, issues like Climate Change and Homeless people. Some of Luna Amore's issues have titles which can be equivocated like that (others use more than adjectives and nouns). It's all about being clever and finding ways to say two things at once. If this wording isn't legal, something close to it should be.

I would also look into the ratings in the World Census Reports - I imagine Luna Amore has some records there which could be recounted.

Hm. I'll request that it be pulled, but potential revisions will have to wait a little bit.

EDIT: Meh. I'll see how this does.

I do think it is a travesty that the old resolution recognized Luna Amore's work on NS Issues (his primary area of focus) and Ramaeus repealed that resolution, saying it was insufficient, and then lazily left this one to go to vote, although understanding that the resolution should have included something about his work in NS Issues.

I'm voting for because Luna Amore deserved a commendation before Ramaeus' mindless repeal; the fact it's being replaced by a knowingly insufficient replacement is just pathetic though. You can't repeal something and talk a big game about how that was written lazily, then run something to vote, knowing that this draft could have been vastly improved.

You missed out on most of Luna Amore's career and focused almost exclusively on his work in Osiris. This was a ridiculously poor effort on the part of the author and I'm very disappointed. Writing for the SC should be hard - if you need to spend weeks wrangling over the wording to skirt past Rule IV, you do it - you don't let the nominee's contributions go unrecognized.

Why do you think LKE immediately voted against this?

Luna Amore is a worthy candidate for commendation, based on his work in Osiris and on issue development, and we believe this resolution to be generally well-crafted. If only not for it's characterization of our invasion of Free Thought as 'egregious' (indeed, the lone 'native' ejected was in fact affiliated to the FRA and involved in spying against our ally Great Britain and Ireland) and, like 49% of those voting in January 2010 (an unusually close margin for a liberation resolution in the context of an occupation following a passwording), opposed the Security Council's intervention in this case. This was an LKE-led invasion. We cannot be expected to support a resolution which implies criticism of us in the text.

Well, had you brought up your issue with my phrasing in the drafting stage, I would have changed it. ;)

Much better than Mahaj's commendation. I personally don't like badgerips, but Census achievements aren't worth commending for.
