I can understand the confusion here. Given that Unibot launched a TG campaign supporting the Liberation Resolution it is quite understandable that Nations would be under the impression that he as Delegate of The Rejected Realms was representing the regions and not himself.

TRR is claiming that "the situation in Hogwarts has not changed during the past week" and I agree with that, it's true. LWU was the rightful owners last week, and we're the rightful owners this week too. However, clearly something changed in The Rejected Realms during the past week for them to so quickly abandon their claims of "helping the true natives".

What's the matter, TRR? Just figured out you got had by the people who proposed the Liberation but too prideful to admit it?

Last week, the RR government took no official position.

The internal vote was 3-2 with 4 present. This week, the internal vote is 0-8 with 1 present.

Actually the main reason the real liberation went pass is because the TEP WAD played a joke. I hardly see how someone not taking there job seriously can be blamed on Evil Wolf.

A joke? Is that what you think it was? IMO, it was a brilliant political maneuver. But what do I know?

Not at all. TEP cast a "deciding vote" in that they voted right at the end, but they were no more significant in the result than any other region of similar voting power, and less significant than regions of greater voting power. I'm not sure you understand the WA mechanics.

To be precise, TEP did not actually vote at the end; most of TEP had been voting against from the start, and at the very end withdrew; whether it was somebsort of joke or not I'm not too sure, but I think it was.

No, we are not a nation of cat people. We're all humans (and a few annoying gnomes) here. The cat's just there because our king is such a genius, he saw that it would be a good military strategy to have a distractingly cute flag, to blind our enemies to (our) victory!

It was, much to my chagrin, a joke. I advised Bach to vote against the liberation, but at the last moment, thanks to some persuasion from Hobbes and Tim, Bach withdrew his against vote.

Evil Wolf wrote:Well CD, you claim "the situation in Hogwarts has not changed during the past week" and yet your region has gone from Undecided to For the liberation.

So one of two things has happened, either the situation has changed, which Christian Democrats blatantly claims it has not, or The Rejected Realms is contradicting itself and changing its mind on a situation that "has not changed".

So they're lying about the situation not changing and/or they're lying about not contradicting their previous position of neutrality.

Either way, not a very trustworthy announcement on their part.

I'm not sure you know what a contradiction is.

If we based SC resolutions on that rationale, we would look terribly impotent to much of the world (well, either that or untrustworthily prejudicial), plus I think following that logic is somewhat against what the SC stands for.

You're right, it did. 'Liberate Hogwarts' passing in the first place was due to the Security Council's failure.

We shouldn't even have needed a repeal. It should never have happened in the first place.

Well, it seems like a password was imposed on Hogwarts within the last few days.

What part of the "no real natives except, so far, for the LWU" argument, that has been clearly presented over the last few posts, did you not understand?
Also, I think it's time someone put this thread into the archives (or something).
