Great Zurich, I must be added to the chorus of those who think that McM deserves a commendation .... but who strongly believes that he deserves a commendation much, much stronger than this one. I would like to urge you, player to player, to consider filing a GHR to have your submitted proposal be removed for additional editing and improvement. There are many players here who want to see a commendation pass for McM - and I'm sure that many would be willing to help you in drafting, if you would be willing to remove the proposal from the submission queue for additional editing and updating.

Again, this is so completely and totally not a modly-anything ... but think about it? Please?

I personally would love to be involved in a commendation for the guy who brought me to the GCR world and inevitably helped me to where I am. I owe McM a lot, but this draft.... not so much.

I would be delighted to author/co-author a commend for McM.

Hell, I'd be delighted to have a group collaborative effort do it, I think it would be a delightful tribute to him to see a few signatures on the bottom of the text along with the massive votes it would surely bring. Anyone interested TG me. Sadly, I cannot bring myself to acknowledge this text for the same reasons a lot have pointed out already.

I don't often add my thoughts to the SC, preferring to stay closeted within the confines of that other place, but I must agree with a majority of people in this thread and especially with Mouse.

McM definitely deserves a commendation, and it would be a great thing to see one through.. but just not this one as it currently is. Bring it back, we'll all help you work on it (not for authorship sake, but for McM's sake) and you can submit it again with a better and more solid SC commendation behind you..

McMasterdonia has definitely done enough to warrant a commendation, and I don't think this comes even close to being adequate enough to cover all of his deeds.

That notwithstanding, there is currently a proposal at quorum, which everyone in this message assisted getting there. Specifically Commend McMasterdonia. As a colleague of McM's and regionmate, I am asking all of you to unapprove this commend as soon as possible within the next 4 hours.

This proposal does NOT do justice to the nation that is McMasterdonia and will only serve to sully attempts in the future to give a good commendation in its place.

Just saying Aba, you might want to draft one Commend McM up.

If people see a superior proposal as compared to this mediocre piece, it is likely they would unapprove it.

In any case, you just need 2 people to unapprove, and at this time of the day there's usually no one around to endorse stuff. Take advantage of that ;)

If you can get it unapproved out of the queue briefly, you might be able to sneak a new commendation for McMasterdonia in the queue to beat it. It's easier to keep something out of the queue for a few hours then it is to get it out of the queue for good.

Deserved IMO, but needs more. Can go into a lot more detail - otherwise it kind of reads like a commend for any good feeder delegate. McM's done more than that.

Please consider what Mousebumples wrote earlier in this thread, Zurich. IMO you should post your commend here first and let other brainstorm with you to try and make this resolution have a lot more punch behind it.

Abacathea campaigned against this and I had really hoped it wouldn't go to a vote. I didn't approve it and I should have been more forthcoming with the author about this proposal, but I honestly didn't expect it to get this far.....
