1. Votes-magotes... really.
2. National sovereignty is a good thing, the WA needs to stop sticking its head where it belongs and give more power to individual nations.

Repealed "The Right to a Fair Trial"
Repealed "Against Corruption"

Supported on principle alone, not even counting the other, exceedingly valid points raised by this condemnation.

Ah yes, condemning for repealing resolutions. Makes total sense

NOT.

Also considering the stunt Douria pulled with GAR#2, I am AGAINST this resolution.

[OOC: It's so ironic this was proposed by SkyDip the Almighty repealer]

The Government of the Oan Isles voted against "Condemn The Dourian Embassy" for reasons which shall hereafter be imparted. The first section emphasised The Dourian Embassy's repeal of legislation, and by so doing undermined the purpose of the World Assembly. The nations of the WA chose to accept the resolutions whereby others were discarded. Secondly the anonymous nation and the role it played in the Osirian coup need to be elaborated upon. It is clear however that this resolution is used as political propaganda, clearly illuminated by SkyDip's hypocrisy in the first section (that regarding repeals). By augmenting the Dourian Embassy's power by which (apparently) legislation was brought into effect, SkyDip's condescending disregard for the capacity of individual nations to decide for themselves is an insult to their intelligence.

Sir very proclamative. It can be seen that you are to "uphold the duties of the World Assembly" by fulfilling its purpose: to propagate nihilistic ideals through mundane rhetoric.

"First, regardless of what repeals a nation has authored a repeal to, we point out that a majority of the voting bloc at this assembly have to vote to accept the repeal. The names sound 'sexy' as it were, but they must have contained some serious flaws within to have convinced a majority to repeal them. They are not grounds for a condemnation.

The political stuff may well be, however, I seriously doubt the numbers, and doubt Osiris ever had more than 2000 inhabitants to remove forcibly. In any case, that situation is long delt with and should have been addressed then if it was worthy of condemnation.

His recent actions of playing the queue and on the infamous GAR #2 repeal are simply playing politics. Dirty politics, but politics nonetheless. As such, I do not feel he has done anything worthy of a condemnation. My suggestion would be for Dourian to become a 'Fenda immediately, so he can get his gold star badge next week."

:eyebrow: I mean, there's more than three days of voting left without XKI's Delegate lodging a vote yet, so that's probably a bit presumptuous.

Saludos delegados,

My experience as former WA Delegate for The Revolutionary Council taught me that The Dourian Embassy is a menace to the WA. They and Chester Pearson have influence so big in the WA, they practically govern every member state.

This imperialism is unacceptable and must be stopped! I fully support future condemnation of Chester Pearson.

I remember having written a proposal in the past, in my eyes and the eyes of those who commented on it, it was perfect, yet, Chester Pearson had it removed because he didn't read my proposal good enough as to spot the operative clause. It is not only me... He also has a shocking ability to campaign for his vulgar proposals, although denying that he uses stamps.

Nevertheless this condemnation is about The Dourian Embassy who themselves have an imperialistic, elitist attitude and their proposals and support for proposals cause great distress to member states yet his cunning ability to make people think he is right is remarkable.

Saludos!

Douria's nation did the ejecting, no matter who was behind the screen.

Felicia wonders when Jericho will get back from the bar when this one comes to vote
"Abstain, as usual, but we would like to point out the fallacy in including those repeals. The first one was replaced, repealed then replaced a second time, so its inclusion here is seriously flawed. The second is actually a contentious issue, as the issue has been brought up again in the General Assembly at the moment without consensus on drafting. The third, well it was based on one issue which quite a number agreed on, not to mention given it was somewhat recent and the shitstorm which has gone through the GA over the last couple of months a replacement hasn't come up. This is not including, as pointed out previously, that the whole GA voted on and accepted these repeals. The inclusion of these three repeals are very much unwarranted and wrong."

Friar John Sanders approaches the podium, "As this is our first vote in the Security Council we must carefully consider the matter. Brother Maynard, bring out the Holy Eight Ball of Antioch."

Brother Maynard comes along with a large orb.

Friar John stares at Brother Maynard, "What does it say?"

"Try again later," Brother Maynard replied.

"And there you have it," Friar John replied as he leaves the podium. The best decision he's made all day.
