Unibot III wrote:I would be more interested in this resolution, if Mousebumples wasn't a member of AO and didn't get caught in those leaks from AO that showed her dissing a lot of players and didn't play a role in organizing campaigns to disrupt the WA Votes of regions (e.g., Texas, 10000 Islands, Osiris.. and, just speculating, Europeia).

But nonetheless, if you're going to commend Mousebumples, you should probably note her contributions to her school of thought: NatSov. She wrote a few guides regarding NatSov and has always been a fierce proponent of it (to the point where I think she regularly abused her position as a mentor, but I digress).

She also helped run a (fairly-biased-towards-NatSov) tutorial on the GA in Europeia, which was organized by Sky-Dip (?).

This is nothing more than hyperbolic fearmongering and blatant character assassination. The whole "disrupting WA votes" is the cherry on top for me, because that's incredibly misleading and comically hypocritical. If by disrupting votes you means she might try to persuade larger regions to vote for her proposals then that's something I've regularly seen you do, and is not unusual among WA authors. A campaign is a campaign, it's not organized propaganda like you're making it out to be. If you're implying something more sinister, then you're just misguided.

Also, I'm not sure why her NatSov leaning opinions are grounds for opposing a commendation?

Just to clarify, I'm fully behind the idea of conducting Mousebumples. If anyone deserves it, it's her.

Because when Unibot looks into a mirror he can't see a reflection. :p I suspect the same is true for Mahaj but I've never done the garlic test in that case.

Being unable to see their own reflections, they never realize that when the complain about something, they are generally guilty of the same offense.

As per our previous communications outside this thread:

The Security Council;

Recognizing the role of this esteemed assembly in enshrining nations of infamy and exceptional contribution alike in the annals of the World Assembly archives.

Dismayed; that a nation, who has contributed so much to the known universe and those who reside within it, has gone overlooked by this esteemed council for so long and therefore resolving to correct this grievous error post haste;

Observing that Mousebumples has contributed fourteen General Assembly and two Security Council resolutions as well as co-authored significantly more, that enrich the lives of all WA residents, including;

WA# 124, The Essential Medication Act: which guarantees the right of persons to receive treatments involving medically essential drugs, while still respecting the rights of a nation to either legalize or ban certain drugs.

WA# 151, The Missing Individuals Act: which established the Missing Individuals Archive and allowed increased cooperation on a globally international scale with regards to missing persons of all ages and genders.

WA# 215-219: A series of resolutions aimed at repealing previously flawed medical legislation and replacing those with comprehensive resolutions covering the subjects of organ donation and biomedical innovation.

Cognizant of the considerable drafting assistance that the nation of Mousebumples has provided, without prejudice, to all nations, increasing the quality of the World Assembly's resolutions,

Further observing that the achievements of this great nation are not confined solely to that of the World Assembly body, but the provision of general assistance and advice in a mentor role to developing nations, as well as to their individual region of Monkey Island to which they have been a strong and fair leader for a considerable term.

Also noting that beyond their general approachability and willingness to assist nations of all ages, that Mousebumples has authored several texts for the benefit of nations which can be found dotted around the World Assembly and the universe at large.

I tried to preserve your writing style but that may've just ended up butchering it. But that adds a significant bit of flesh to the skeleton. If you want more, we can expand on more detailed clauses with regards to the non-WA assistance/guides/mentoring.

With respect you've preserved it well. It reads with my touch to authorship and thanks to you represents bumples far better than I think I alone could have.

Ill mark this as the current draft once I can get to a PC. Given the amount you've provided it would be unfair to not credit you as co author, expect that to be added in too.

Very glad to help. If anyone deserves a commendation, it'd be Mousey.

Edit: And note that the draft I just posted up leaves the "Hereby commends Mousebumples" bit yours has in it out(which was a copy paste mistake on my part), so be sure to edit that in.

To be fair, the grammar issues are normally part of whatever res I touch no matter how hard I try one always gets through the damned net.

As for the style issues, well you pretty much kept most of my original style, and I like my style, so far the only res I've had fail on me with my style was that damned dark riders repeal, it's sort of my signature, even though Eist has now called me on it every single time* 8)

I'm fully in support of a well-written Commendation for Mousey. If you want, you can add that she was, for a long before her hiatus from the region, basically our go-to GA professional in Europeia and even directed our Department of World Assembly Affairs on the GA side of things.

EDIT: Perhaps something like:
ACKNOWLEDGING that Mousebumples, owing to the extensive history in and knowledge of the General Assembly, has held directorial positions in regions such as Europeia coordinating General Assembly affairs for the region

Even more to strengthen the validity of bumples as a candidate.

How's this as an addition

Additionally noting that in addition to this nations excellent work within their own region the nation of Mousebumples has also directly assisted other regions in their World Assembly goals and pursuits including Europeia where this nation directed the department of World Assembly affairs.

Good edits. Added to the post. I will move to submit this soon, primarily because of the level of support and secondly because I'm quite happy with it. Also because the list of great things Bumples has done could go on forever and I can't simply add them all lol. Thanks 'Dip, appreciated as always.

We cannot possibly vote for a commendation for MB. MB voted against the repeal of "Nuclear Arms Possession Act". Voting Against.

WA Ambassador
Darren Cahil

OOC. As a person, MB seems rather nice, but lots of people are nice and quite a lot are helpful on NSG,(I've even ended up having a positive view of the people I've gotten in heated debates with) imagine the hundreds of people who would get a commendation.
For a voluntary Socialist democratic republic of England, Scotland, Wales and a United Socialist Democratic Federal Republic of Ireland in a United Socialist Europe.

Bumples is beyond helpful, an awful lot of the guides you'll find floating about the site are authored by her. In truth this commendation doesn't do enough to highlight how deserving a candidate we have before us. But then it never could.
