Sanarova wrote:Would people care how a proposal was written if condemned a killer? Probably not. I do not do this out of spite for Lolloh. If they reform their ways, they may get the condemnation repealed.

The thing is, tons of nations have done things like this. Lolloh has not done something worthy of a WA condemnation. I am fully AGAINST this proposal.

If airstriking other nation's people because they peacefully protested unwanted Lollohian rule isn't enough to sway you, I don't know what will. Lolloh has done a lot wrong, and I mean A LOT.

If your not going to read through the evidence, then I am sure this proposal does not need your support.

Again, it's not good that (s)he did that, and I don't approve of it, but it's simply not worthy of a WA Condemnation. Read some passed Condemnations, like Condemn Ralkovia, to understand what warrants a condemnation.

I'm surprised that this is likely to make it to vote. There is little substance in this proposal for a player that has done little in the game. AGAINST.

Then give me that list. And put it in the proposal's text. Plenty of nations out there have a long list of crimes.

Fair enough; but the list still needs to be in the proposal. On top of that, condemning/commending a nation that is six months old is probably not the best idea.

Again, it's mostly due to the delegates' (mine included) desire to bring SOMETHING to the floor. Empty floors are inefficient no matter which way you look at it. It's better for a proposal to be defeated on the floor than for it to not be up for a vote at all, and thus leave the chamber devoid of function for 4 days.

Once again, we cannot support this in it's current form and should it make it to vote, which alas it looks very much like it may, we will be voting against.

One approval to go.
Regardless of its merits, the proposal MUST go to the floor for a vote. If opponents of the proposal claim it to be inferior, it would be defeated in voting, which might as well happen since the Council won't be doing anything otherwise anyway.

I predict that the Council will likely not approve this proposal, but that would have been a democratic and legitimate vote, and results must stand.

I congratulate Sanarova, author of the proposal and all the nations of the Assembly on our collective success to bring this proposal to a vote on the floor in the interests of a more participatory and more functional democracy.
I also would like to thank all the Delegates who have contributed their voices to make this happen.

That seems a rather fractured logic. We should tie up the council with nonsensical proposals rather than allow it to sit and work on one's that warrant the SC's time?

In the Ruolnik Conflict:

1) Repeatedly violated the sovereignty of its southern neighbor. - OK, maybe this was a problem.
2) Broke multiple peace treaties - No, that's YOUR opinion. Actually, I think we're 50-50 responsible.
3) Supported a violent terrorist group in Ruolnik responsible for the deaths of thousands of civilians, in supporting these terrorists Lolloh directly killed more. - Sorry? If you consider a small bomb and taking their leader away from being lynched, then yes, I supported their organization.
4) Ordered naval vessels to target civilian ships - Um... where did you get this?

In Vonver:

1) Attempted to position Lollohian nationals in Vonver's government - He was the only Lollohian left, and had a Vonverian passport
2) Staged a coup and held hostage the elected leader of Vonver and his staff - He wasn't elected
3) Airstriked civilian protestors - OK, THIS is true.
4) Supported both anti-democratic militant groups and foreign invaders - Sorry? I supported the Socialists, and I actually requested peace talks, but YOU rejected them.

AND Vonver ignore-cannoned ALL of that.

In Minx colony:

1) Rounded up ethnic Ontorisians for systematic extermination - Meh. That was my police force.
2) Airstriked civilian protestors - OK, yeah, I did that, but they were armed and poised to seize the city!
3) Attenpted to cover-up the airstrikes - I didn't do that, Firmador did.

Sorry, but I HAD to intervene and stop this blatant propaganda against me. And, mind you, in the Dermans, I COMPLIED with withdrawing more and more troops, but, for some reason, everyone hates me for rebuilding the Derman Isles, so they spam with millions of troops, a supercomputer, and hundreds of PMT drones! That, and I have rebuilt great relations with:
Imperium Reich
Babylonia
New Carloso

OK relations with:
Isle of Lost
Roman Imperial Republic
Star Guy (?)
Wadiya

We've forgiven each other for what happened, but NO, you just CAN'T let it go! Besides, you have virtually no evidence as to my intent, either IC OR OOC. You can't accuse me of imperialism when I'm not doing anything. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to an ironic idiot and endorse my own condemnation.

It has been passed with enough votes. Part 1 of Part 2 is completed. Now we must convince the world of Lolloh's evil deeds. Talk to every WA member you know and spread the word. May democracy and justice prevail while may politics, injustice, and cruelty fail.

Dearest Delegate,

This is not something we are oblivious to. In truth, had this act been refined to the standard we know it could have been, we would still not be supporting it but we would however allow it to play out.

As it presently stands, the Abacathean Delegation have become somewhat restless and irked that the author has pushed this through as they have.

We simply cannot sit quietly about such a poor representation of what we know, and have observed in this drafting process, could have been.

I mean, for god sake, the recipient has endorsed the damn thing, if this isn't indicative of what a farse this is, I simply don't know what is!

Counter campaign launched.
