People, this is what I am talking about when the last one was illegal.

When this was pointed out to me, I hadn't submitted this proposal yet. Hence why I posted this in the SC forums first, to get all the kinks fixed.

A Slanted Black Stripe has every right to do what it wants.

Reaching this far back into the past for a relatively non-significant event is not Commendable. I will be voting AGAINST this proposal.

The Empire's occupation of the East Pacific was the most significant "gameplay" event of 2008. It led to the Guardian system and a revitalized regional government in the East Pacific, unlike the results of most invasions of system created regions, where the government in exile's activity is generally short lived after retaking the name plaque on top of the region page.

Equilism's invasion of the North Pacific was the other big gameplay event of the year that caught everyone's attention, but it didn't cause a major reform of the target region by the returning regional government or any great renaissance of activity, other than the Azure Alliance Treaty with the Pacific, later in the year.

Funny how something that didn't happen caught everyone's attention huh?
