Nigel who was more of a scotch man, decided to be diplomatic and placed two tumblers and a newly acquired bottle of lagavulin on the table. "You first." he said. Smiling as Lord Brikkel came over. "We drink your champagne and then my scotch!"

Brikkel looked at the bottle in his hands, and then the one on the table. "Och, Laddie", He said, handing the champagne off to his assistant, Murray. "I may have been created Laird o' one of the Western Counties by the King, but I was born and raised in the Eastern Highlands. What say we forget this fizzy grape water and get to the real thing? Anrhydedd a Dyletswydd! Thats how we toast back home in Loannis, it means Honour and Duty." He finished with a smile, reaching for the scotch.

oh and a bit of business.

It appears as though one of your compliance gnomes was trapped in a closet in our Presidential Compound, we have no idea how he got in there nor any clue how he became trapped. We estimate it was right after the presently repealed resolution was passed.

We've fed him, cleaned him up as best as one can clean up a compliance gnome and released him forthwith. He should be returning any minute now. Thank you.

It also appears that our compliance gnome quit after the presently repealed resolution was passed and decided to hand the power down to human ministers after all. It was after he discovered that we had been quite smart to find a way around the presently repealed resolution by declaring the National Trust a government agency whilst retaining the charity characteristics. Sorry, the Mind of Charlotte Ryberg now lost our last compliance gnome but we replaced it with err... compliance babes or something like that, like the ones from Footballers' Wives, except it's not football. Anyway, they seem to do an excellent job in enforcing all past resolutions and we congratulate the honoured ambassador to Philimbesi for repealing the presently repealed resolution amid the excessive consumption of Scottish whisky and offers to lay down ideas for the World Assembly Theme Park in near future.

Yours etc,

Congratulations on the repeal effort. The Imperial Chiefdom can now begin undoing some of the bureaucratic nonsense that had been needed to keep the Emperor in the Imperial Capital.

Congratulations. The monks of the Monastary of the Theotokos of Voroda would like to thank the writers of the repeal for allowing them to return to their home.

Actually, instant repeals are notorious for their disproportionate success rate. ;)

We apologise for our loose terminology -- we were of course referring to the repeals that spring up like mushrooms within 24 hours of the passage of any proposal, which are usually promptly rejected as consisting of nothing more than pique.

Lord Brikkel handed a quick note to the courier to return to the "anonymous" sender along with a 20 Crown note to cover the costs, as there was no return address on the bottle.

Syr neu Fadam;

A i chi yn ogystal. Anrhydeddus a Dyletswydd! Bydd hyn yn cael ei yfed gyda llawenydd mawr!
